    SUPERCHARGER= OIL LEAK

Got all the plumbing done for my paxton supercharger. Started it up & tuned the carb alittle & after about 5min or so i noticed a major oil leak from the pan. I had the pan down to weld the return line bung on. I figured it had to be the gasket leaking. I got to thinking that i had it running...

Trying out a spreadbore cab on the Duster.

Edelbrock makes like a 1/16" plate that will seal it fine. No need for a thick adapter or spacer.

Trying out a spreadbore cab on the Duster.

Technically, it is. Though people will argue. The proper classification for the smaller AFB and AVS carburetors is spread bore, but square flange. Most people only call a carburetor spread bore if the secondaries are the size of beer cans like The TQ and Quadrajet. So, for garage speak, the...

Trying out a spreadbore cab on the Duster.

All Carter/Edel carbs are great carbs. See below. Carter 625 AFB v 600 Hol. Carter made more tq & hp.....& used less fuel doing it. Spread bore. The term appeared when the QJ appeared in the mid 60s. To accommodate the huge 2.25" sec t/blades, the c/line of the t/bores had to be 'spread'...

    Cause of wandering found

After I did a disc swap, the alignment shop refused to install one piece strut rod bushings and instead used upgrade 2 piece units. They also refused to align it unless they did the lca bushes as well. I was a young trusting guy I'm guessing the strut bushes didn't seat correctly on the...

Installed new coil, now the tach acts funny

Not sure about the 'logic' that the sec coil res is 10,800 ohms. The tach connects to the primary of the coil which is 0.7 ohms.

440 power gains/ aluminum head advantages?

You have a light car, big engine, 4.56 gears & a 3500 rpm c'ter. It should be doing somersaults...... There is a fundamental problem, & I doubt degreeing the cam is going to 'fix' it. But should be checked. I suspect a more fundamental problem such as wiped lobes, valves not sealing etc.

Make sure all three of those years are identical and have the same P/N. Check ebay, check google search with part number then word: lens, then taillight, tail lamp. check FABO and Moparts google search. FABO is little better since threads say "sold". Which does not tell you what they...

Well A bodies ARE appreciating greatly, but not THAT great. lol

    Basic Distributor Question

The initial body position does not matter. It is 8 cyl, so you have a choice of 8 positions. On some engines that use a vac adv dist, the VA unit may get in the way....so select another position.

man, you'd be surprised. there's some real crack pipe pricing going around of late. also, as 72blu eluded to, people see these cars sell for 60K and think: hell, mine's gotta be worth half that! because "reasons" that only make sense in their head.

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

prices have gone up since the earl aughts, but not that much. 6-ish is a little more in line with with what that should probably go for-- location dependent. the interior is passable, the body looks rock solid and the undercarriage looks workable. that's all plusses. also, expand your search...

Came across a set of NOS Mopar tail lamp lens for a 73-76 Plymouth Duster. Still in the original boxes. I opened the boxes to check their condition. Like new. I'm not seeing re-pops out there. Could be I'm not looking in the right places, but..... Anyway, any clue what they're worth.
