Who else ever felt this way?

Yeah but the inliners and especially the/6 have a sound all their own much like how Mopar starters have their own sound that you can hear across the parking lot

    Flywheel questions

the crank is a LA Enterprise Kyptonite 3.875'' stroke. since the flywheel is only being used on the run stand, is it possible that at least 3 of the bolt holes on the flywheel would line up to the crank holes? it won't see anymore then 1800-2000 rpm on the stand. if 3 bolts holes lines up, that...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Hi, I'm still here, just had the grandkids for the past two weeks (11 & 16) sibling rivalry. Hard to compete with iphones and the 16y/o has a boyfriend. Kids just don't like to do anything. They're at a camp not far from us for two weeks, then we get them back for a few more days:( Their...

    Flywheel questions

AFAIK it’s not going to be cheap. If all you are doing is trying to get it out and checked out on your run stand, you can use a few pipe plugs to block off some of the holes and then redrill the 6 bolt pattern in it. I’ve done that before on an 8 bolt aluminum flywheel. I wasn’t paying for a...

    Flywheel questions

What are you running, and which 8 bolt pattern is it? The 8 bolt cranks for LA motors that were offered by DC/MP and others used the Gen2 Hemi crank flange, the Gen3 Hemi has a different 8 bolt pattern (the Viper V10 also had 8 bolt and was yet another pattern, as did the Gen1 Hemi, but I'll...

Please critique my home front-end alignment method

My assumption is the Longacre bubble gauge is calibrated in such a way that the multiplication factor isn't needed. If you look at it closely, the glass of the level has an arc, it isn't flat like a normal level.

Changing the rear quarters on my Dart conv. from a 69 to a 70

Mine came with the Dart GT emblems below the quarter windows behind the doors. I'm reasonably sure that when I do the splice that the repair will not be super noticeable plus I will cover that area with the same type of spray on coating as the factory did in the trunk.

How old are you and how long have you raced

    49. Raced from 1993 to 2015 fairly consistently. Raced mostly in the pro class and in the street legal class when that was popular. Raced mostly at Firebird raceway in Idaho with the occasional trip to a sea level track in Woodburn Oregon- that’s a fast track compared. 1969 390 AMC Amx. Full...

Why are classic 4 door sedans "disliked"?

As a 54 year old kid in 2024, it's still true. Both my "old" Mopars are models that were pure, clean-slate 2 door designs - '71 Duster and '72 Challenger. Thankfully neither were ever offered in a 4 door. I can roll with some Mopar wagons and 2 door post type cars are among my favorites...
