    Star Fire Coolant

dan, not to be rude or disrespectful but your insistence that you have "knowledge about cars" runs entirely contradictory to a lot of the statements you make. let's remember some hits such as: "i don't use a torque wrench" and "avanti's are muscle cars" from your seminal album "DTM summer jams...

    Help identifying Racer Brown camshaft

I bought a NOS Racer Brown STX-22 cam that was advertised as for a big block. I test fitted it in my block and it seems right but just a tad different than other cams I have. Could it be a 426 Hemi cam? Would a Hemi cam even fit into a B/RB engine? It seems like everything lines up good...

Best Electronic Ignition Setup for a 273

...my gripe about the pertronix, say the thing fails on a dirt road at the *** end of hard luck? what are your options? with OE EI the failure is *likely* going to be a ballast or ECU which, and if you've read the syllabus, you should be carrying in your glove box. but in the case of throwing...

    Magnum and Wiring Swap

It’s called “fuel sync” on the magnum and needs to be set with a scan tool. I don’t necessarily think that’s the revving problem. But get it right so you can eliminate it as a possibility.

My ‘66 Valiant Convertible at CTC Cars & Coffee

That is a really nice ride. I did (the whole nine yards, in 1979-80) a 66 Sedan, 225/Torqueflite that I bought for $50.00, for my wife to drive. Wound up driving it from Florida to California, (July 1980) where it was put on a ship headed for Guam when I got stationed there. A guy at the Guam...

    Left Parking Light Stays on

It could be a poor ground at the socket or the bulb base to the socket (less likely but happens). However the fact it is on when the switch is off makes me suspicious. https://www.web.imperialclub.info/Repair/Lit/Master/236/page01.htm You can do some checks so you're not throwing darts...

    Help in Sarasota County Florida

So very sorry for the loss of your son. There are lots of great people here on this forum, and likely in your area. As mentioned above, work on what you know about, do small things and work slowly. A factory service manual will be helpful with a lot of it, but when you're stuck, start a topic...

    Magnum and Wiring Swap

In another thread about test running the engine here: Attempt at test running a Magnum I was given great advice by knowledgeable guys on this forum. One thing that was recommended was mechanically zero the timing. I went through that procedure and haven't moved the distributor since. I'll put a...
