another temp gauge/fuel gauge/voltage regulator thread

I would get a aftermarket temp gauge so you know where you are really at. You can buy a mechanical one that installs in the upper radiator hose pretty easily. Depending on how bad you want the oem one, this can be a good solution. Some folks don’t like the radiator hose senders because they...

Rewire 67 Dart GT - need recommendations - what's best?

M&H from year one are copies of the originals. You don’t need a lot of electronic skill to replace the originals, since they are the same. This is what I did. The only bad news is all the accessories harnesses (like AC) are sold separately, so it drives the cost up. Use dielectric grease on all...

Any lube that would stop front suspension squeaking?

If it has been sitting for awhile, sometimes just driving it will help it quiet down.

    1969 Plymouth Barracuda 340 Manifolds

I did some work on my headers and I am very happy with them now. They were the ones that went around the steering linkage.

    1969 Plymouth Barracuda 340 Manifolds

They are not that hard to find if you have about $600-900 in your wallet. They even make them new now. If you don’t want to the spend that much, the 72-74 a body 340 360 manifolds are a lot cheaper. That is what I have on my 69 Cuda.

‘69 Dart Tail Light Issue. Yes, another one of these…

There is a connector back by the gas filter tube on the trunk floor. The rear window seal leaked on it on my car and corroded the connector.

‘69 Dart Tail Light Issue. Yes, another one of these…

I chased electrical gremlins for a long time on mine. If I had it to do over again I would buy all new M&H harnesses from year one and change it all out. Do the taillights work if you swap the LED bulbs back in? Looking for clues…..modified wiring is hard to troubleshoot.

Old style crager wheels and tires fir my duster. Opinion needed

Tires age, even if they have never been used. I wouldn’t run them if they are old than about 7 years.

Old style crager wheels and tires fir my duster. Opinion needed

I would go with 15s if possible, tire selection is pretty low on 14s.

    360LA Clutch Fan

I used the Hayden 2947 on my 69 with the same 360. It works great, but clearance is very tight to get the water pump bolts in. I had to use studs with locktite in the water pump.

    Not Mine 1966 Formula S 4spd CA

My point was that a really nice one sells for $20-25K max. A non runner for half that doesn’t make much sense to me. Not that it is not a cool car, but there is a very small market for them. Maybe I am an out of touch with prices, but that looks like a $5K car to me. Just an opinion….

$12K for a non runner that probably needs a major restoration? Wow, seems crazy expensive for an early A.

I think i broke rear main bearing

Don’t a lot of aluminum engine parts like blocks and heads have thread inserts out of the factory? Putting a helicoil in a cracked hole isn’t a good idea, but if it was welded up, what’s the big deal? I have seen 2 inch diameter helicoils.
