    Leaky water pump

What engine are we talking about? Water pumps have a weep hole on the bottom side of the case near where the bearings are for the impeller shaft. If it's leaking from there it means the internal seals/bearings are done and it's time for a new water pump. Any other advice of things to check are...

Check lower hose, then starting at bottom Check all timing cover bolt heads. There are specific lengths for specific holes and some require thread sealant.

    First Drag strip visit

1976 Bandimere Drag Strip west of Denver. Just picked up a bone stock 1970 383 Road Runner with 68,000 miles on it. This was my junior year in H.S.. All my buddies came to watch. I was talking big about how I would run in the 14's, well best pass was 16.82 @ 89. This lead me to spend most...

    Stripping methods?

I'm actually looking into a dry ice blaster in Knoxville. I will report when I hear back. I think dipping is out of the question. 4-5 grand to strip a 72 Duster is a bit rich for me and there is no one local. If it had the broadcast sheet, was more original, or had sentimental value I would...

I had planned to do Route 66 a couple of time but something always came up. I thought for sure this year till my appendix ruptured and I’m still recovering. I’m 66 so I hoped this would be the year to do Route 66. Starting in Chicago and going to LA. I’m pretty confident my duster would make...
