My ‘66 Valiant Convertible at CTC Cars & Coffee

I've got some of the Signet moldings for it. I have both doors and some of the other, but, not all. I'd have to take a look again to give you details. Looks like you have a few other pieces to get to make it stock looking.....like the aftermarket outside mirror. Looks like the original dual...

Did you replace the lower control arm bushings? I believe the pivolt is suppose to be torqued after the ride height is set otherwise they may be binding.

Saw my first Cybertruck during my drive into work this morning.

Like "Unconventionable" mentioned, you may be onto something here (he beat me to it!), as Musk seems to be like one of those little "kick dogs" that barks at you when you're back is turned to him, but as soon as you turn around to face him, he runs away. Witness Musk's recent firing of the...

Saw my first Cybertruck during my drive into work this morning.

Pretty much useless. Any much weight and the travel distance is cut in half at least. EV'S are the biggest joke I've ever seen. They didn't go over well in the early 1900's, I thought they would learn by their mistakes, guess not

    Brake switch problem

On my '68 the stamped steel part that the switch attaches to was bent when someone pulled the pedal back replacing the mastercyclinder. I had to replace it with another as no matter how much I bent it straight, it would flex/wobble just enough and have the same problem you are having.

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

Basically Yes. Power in ignition 1 (wire J2) and ignition 2 (wire J3) is used to signal the MSD to turn on. Ignition 1 is power to run the engine and that includes the alternator. One branch goes to the regulator so the regulator knows the system voltage. Another branch goes to a field...

Saw my first Cybertruck during my drive into work this morning.

A more rational thing that they should have done, was take a Model S, extend the wheelbase, add ground clearance, and add a pickup bed.

PLEASE HELP IM IN DIRE STRAIGHTSNo spark MSD but test fine what am i missing!

I don't k now where what wires have been snipped. Joining the J2 & J3 is fine with an MSD, although not neccessary. My diagram is just a rework of the circuits of interest based on the factory diagram. According to the diagram The ignition feed went to a welded splice. I don't know if that's...

    Magnum and Wiring Swap

For obd2, if you use the original engine harness and PDC from the doner vehicle, all you need is power to the input of the PDC, an ignition hot and a ground. Then a start signal.

    ride height question

Hey all, I just wanted to get some feedback on my car after I rebuilt the suspension this winter and replaced the factory 10" SBP drums with '73 spindles and discs. I forgot to take before pictures under the car, but the pic in front of the building is from last fall before I did the swap. I...

    273 mix matched head

Yup, I've had a pair of 315 casting heads with the later 3/8 intake bolts too.....and believe it or not, a pair of 920's with the 5/16 intake bolts! The combustion chambers are the same size, so, in that respect, there would be no problem running one with the other. It's just what did they do to...

    SBM Roller Lifter Choice

I haven't tried a solid roller lifter on a HYD roller cam but just in the process of debating which direction to go with. I have a set of each and already mocked both up. The solid definitely gives me better pushrod clearance while the HYD is being a pain. What type of spring pressures have...

    Speedo Gear Ratio Is Goofy

Assuming that "30 mph off" means from 60 mph, and this is indicating 90 at a true 60, then; From true 60 to indicated 90 is a difference of 90/60=plus 50%.. Therefore, your speedO driven gear will need the same percentage difference. Since the Speed-O is showing more speed than is true, it is...

Does anybody make a 2 1/4" exhaust for A body?

The difference is minimal. Not like you’ll kill the performance with a 2.5" system. Why not just put that on? It wouldn’t be like putting dual 4" on it. Now that might kill performance…. Lol Otherwise I’m sure a muffler shop can twist up some 2.25" if that’s what toyed dead set on. I think...

Thank you @Oldmanmopar I appreciate it. @Dana67Dart I'm going to have to look at mine again. @glenn340 Thank you for that picture on yours. I will have to test fit my new AMD piece again and check measurements again. I ground down the areas where the spot welds were and will mock it up again.

    Brake switch problem

Why does the switch have a wobble to it? If it's just poor quality/design, maybe add a custom angle bracket under the push rod nut that will have a wider contact area for the button on the switch. If it just slips off one side, maybe bend the bracket over a bit to center the button better.

Mopars in the Park 2024 at Stillwater Minnesota

My car was totally driveable 3-4 weeks ago but then the oil dipstick broke and left about 4 inches of it in the pan. So I made the decision to pull the entire drivetrain and front suspension together for "easier access" in order to do a list of other things that I've been wanting to do such as...
