[WANTED] 4 speed console top (66-68)

A long shot I realize, but I am looking for a 4 speed top for the early style console with the strip in the middle. I know they reproduce them but was curious if there were any original ones out there for sale. Also, only need this piece as I already have the console and top, just switching...

71 Demon Headliner Question - 72 Roof Different?

Thanks for the info! Is this what you mean? That’s one reason I was looking at the Dante’s one is that they offer sail panels covered in the same material as the headliner

71 Demon Headliner Question - 72 Roof Different?

Hi all. I’ve read through a few threads on this but wanted to try to make absolutely sure if possible before I commit to this since they are made to order. I want to try to the one piece headliner in my 71 Demon that had the bow type headliner before. This says 72 Demon but does not mention...

Anybody ever make your own hood scoop plug?

I tried this once with extra foam I had after cutting my squares I used on the bottom of my hood so I could sit it on the roof in the pits. It looks like it would have worked fine I just worry about it getting soaked if it rains so that’s why I was thinking some trimmed foam glued to a plastic...

Anybody ever make your own hood scoop plug?

Hadn’t thought of trying this. Some that I’ve seen look to small to fill the gap but I’m sure there are bigger ones.

Anybody ever make your own hood scoop plug?

I was thinking of something like this. A plastic cover the shape of the scoop with foam glued on the back to go in the hole and hold it in place with the plastic keeping the foam from getting as wet

Anybody ever make your own hood scoop plug?

This is one reason I’m wanting to try this. Got caught in a fairly heavy rain and that scoop directed plenty of water under the hood ha

Anybody ever make your own hood scoop plug?

I’ve looked around and haven’t had any luck finding a plug for this style hood scoop. I open trailer the car and while I do use a carb cover I have been thinking about having a scoop plug for when I haul it. I have some foam, could I just cut to fit and glue a plastic sheet cut to fit on the...

    Factory AC Removal Questions

This is a parts car he bought for parts for his 68 GTS. I need to remove the cluster, wiring, switches, and dash pads and I just assumed (maybe incorrectly?) that all that would be easier with that vent out of the way, especially since I don’t think he will be using the AC setup in the other car.

    Factory AC Removal Questions

Helping my uncle work on his Dart. I have no experience working with AC in these cars. Was wondering how these boxes are attached under the dash and how hard they are to remove. I won’t be near the car until the weekend so I’m just curious as to what I will be looking at. I assume this is a...

Thanks again! So argent in the areas you highlighted here around the bottom and sides, but the center parts of the grill are just the bright aluminum correct?

    Tin Grill Paint Removal

This is great! Thank you. I can do that, just a little more masking than I had hoped for. I even have some argent paint left over I think. Light argent I painted a Demon grill with and dark argent from a rallye wheel cap. This looks like the dark argent here. I’m glad I asked before I started...

    Tin Grill Paint Removal

Thanks for the replies all! I had thought of paint thinner and the paint remover but hadn’t heard of oven cleaner for that purpose. I knew it was aluminum under the paint but I was unsure about the original paint. So I guess what I’d say is I’m not trying to preserve the OEM finish but rather...

    Tin Grill Paint Removal

Hello all. Picked up this grill for my uncles ‘68 that someone had blacked out years ago and it’s looking awful. Is there a paint remover spray or something similar you recommend to strip all this black off so I can start over? Thanks.
