I was bored and wanted to see other 383 dyno numbers to see how they should be and ran into this video of his which was 400+ TQ.. but one thing that caught me is him saying that when you line bore the mains you bring the crank closer to the cam.... umm... bout 5 seconds in here..

For sale is a good used pair of factory Chrome exhaust tips with hangers. Look like there for Duster/Dart Sport/Demon. I was told that these were re-chromed from previous owner. One of the tips has some dings in it. Overall good condition. Price 125.00 plus the ride.

Don't get me wrong, I love them. But they are a PITA to tune and understand how they do what they do. In the future I will post what I am looking at with them right now. But they look Italian Sexy!

So I drilled and installed a short roll pin. It goes through the steel and a portion of the bushing. It should keep them both happy. Pedal turns like butter now, didn't do that before. I have a couple of spacers for the rod end bearing that should allow everything to be snug. Then the slop...

Here are Old School (American made) Rockers that have been in the shop 40+ years. Before NHRA allowed Roller Rockers in Stock. these are what all the fast Big Block Guys ran in Stock Eliminator! They were the strongest of all the manufacture and were able to accomendate way more Spring Tension...

It has nothing to do with whether it passes smog test or not. It has everything to do with fresh air ventilation of the crankcase. Even before the days of the PCV systems, they used a "road draft" tube to create a partial vacuum, to have fresh air circulation in the crank case.

In the interest of getting that bar back in, you could make some shim(s) to move that K down, hopefully seat the bar home, remove the shim(s) afterwards, and tighten back as it should be. At least you could then get it off jack stands and see what you've got.
