Just noticed you wrote you have an Accel distributor. I have no idea what type of advance mechanism is in it. You'll have to post some pictures, and more than befoer you will have to measure and plot the timing to know what the advance curve looks like.

CNC Mill Mark Removal in Intake Port

Valve job is factory. My disappointment with this head is the large volume (199cc) and the large throat (93% on a 45 degree seat). The throat was the shocker. I think it's losing a lot of flow throughout the range because of that.

Good Initial Timing and Too much Total Timing Problem. Seeking guidance to minimize total timing. 1969 Swinger 340 4 Gear

    1966 Barracuda door latch issue

I soaked my 66 sedan latch in Evaporust. It must have helped the rotary part as it started to turn slowly at first then freely ss I worked on it. After lubing everything really well, it now works as it should plus doesn’t look to bad either

CNC Mill Mark Removal in Intake Port

Here's my understanding from some Darin Morgan videos: Intake manifold for dry flow in a MPFI system would be smooth. Downstream of the injectors needs to be rough, 60 grit or rougher. The interesting thing is that upstream of the injectors (for some distance I can't remember) needs to be...

I am installing my new push rods and adjusting the lash for the break in on my 340/420. I always start out marking my adjusters at the 12:00 position with the adjuster fully seated. Then I count the turns on the adjuster while I am adjusting the cold lash, and I write down the adjuster turns...
