Simply the best style carb made...................If e-brocks were that great, you`d see em on every car at the track.................Taking over the world one carb at a time.......ThumperCarbs.......
That ground strap looks hot and your gauge seems wacked cos it looks like you pulled it out of the box. Get a Holley and your problems will be solved............Taking over the world one carb at a time.......ThumperCarbs..............
I`ve modified both but prefer the newer billet pieces as they`re lighter, better made and easier to to mod cos they ALL need help........Taking over the world one carb at a time..........ThumperCarbs........
Mandatory for properly tuning any carb............too much pressure or too little can cause troubles...............Taking over the world one carb at a time.........ThumperCarbs.......
I agree to a point and they do have their place but just like VS carbs, I don`t personally run em or suggest em on anything..............Taking over the world one carb at a time..........ThumperCarb.......
Call me if u`d like and maybe I can help ya out..............760-900-3895........Taking over the world one carb at a time...........ThumperCarbs............
You need a bigger pre filter than a 45 in my opinion and hopefully they`re not screen filters but sintered...............Taking over the world one carb at a time...........ThumperCarbs...........
An 8 is a fairly cold plug and I run/race those in my 12.1.1 comp. n/a 9-second 470 BB..................Taking over the world one carb at a time........ThumperCarbs........
The filters are backwards..............the bigger goes BEFORE the pump and the smaller after.............Taking over the world one carb at a time..........ThumperCarbs...........
That red pump is damn near useless in some cases and would at least step it up to a blue or black. Do you run a pre-filter and how many microns is it...............Taking over the world one carb at a time....ThumperCarbs..............
NOPE, Just not enuff motor...............I run a Magnafuel 300 pump on my 9-second n/a BB 470 stroker and it`s awesome. Bypasses directly back into the cell and runs fairly cool while keeping rock solid pressure..............
I close em completely to start and make sure they sit nicely in the base plate and if they are even all the way around then set the primary w/just a square of t-slot showing and just crack the secondaries 1/4 turn from seated. If they`re uneven then loosen the screws slightly and center em up...
Ya, have seen that a few times but I don`t run one on my 9-second n/a 470 BB and never have that problem BUT, I live in Calif and you are in Canada.............
I run a B&M plate type cooler from Kragens but just by itself not through the radiator and it never sees above 190 even in the summer heat w/an 8" vert in a 9-sec BB 470 stroker............
Appreciate the effort but w/all of the work involved, I`d rather buy new modern rollers............more accurate ratios cos those are all over the place.........:coffee2:
Been running that shifter since the late 80`s w/great results. Simple, no stupid levers to lift and detents to a nice neutral position after shifts..............
Not sure how much power my junk makes but it goes 6.20`s and 9.70`s and I drive the hell out of it but w/ RESPECT...........Soon to be faster................
