Gaskets should arrive today, so I just have to get my *** out to the garage and make it happen! Rainy day today so much cooler, might be a good night to get r dun!

I didn't get to the car show yesterday, too hot and I was just too tired. Worked on the Super Coupe Thunderbird Saturday for a few hours, just need the 2 gaskets to get it back up and running.

There was a 69 Mustang sportsroof in town here for sale for at least a year. Car was pretty rough, not much of an interior, body was in primer, had a 302 automatic. Seller kept claiming it was some rare piece, and was asking stupid money for the thing. (Around $20k IIRC) I never contacted them...

    Dogs barking

We have 3 big dogs, 70 to 100 lbs, only the youngest one has a tendency to bark but we don't allow him to more than once or twice before he is brought back into the house. We also have had problems with people allowing their dogs to piss and **** on our front lawn, it got to the point where we...

    'Duster' cancelled

Anybody else notice that the intro to 'Duster' had subtle differences in each episode, almost like 'Easter eggs', I thought it was pretty cool.

Poker Face is a good show, I've been waiting for the next season, even my wife likes it.

    I'm Wrong

Dan, I don't think you are a bad person, but sometimes I believe you don't think before you respond to some threads, and that makes people feel that you have no idea what you're talking about. I do hope that you find something that works for you and makes you happy.

Getting old and dealing with people

I've helped a good many people with all sorts of things, including cars, and home renovations, moving, etc. Most of them have been there to lend a hand if I needed, but the ones that haven't, I no longer have contact with, their loss. I've also been fortunate to have received help (and sometimes...

Ever search for a past car and regret?

I have found a couple of cars that I had previously owned, more by chance or plain dumb luck than by searching. First one was a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 that I bought from my brother. He built a nasty 351 Cleveland for it, did the body and paint, etc. I had it for a couple years, spent a lot of...

He has good and bad days, bad days he can barely get out of bed, good days he has to get caught up with all the things he can't do on bad days. Shitty situation for sure.

You would have a blast, 3 days of horsepower and sun. Today is the 100' drags, and tomorrow there's a show and shine that draws well over 500 cars every year, would be more but not enough space in the park they use. There are typically other shows in town this weekend but they are not affiliated...

Doesn't seem to be that bad here this morning, but the tire smoke was pretty thick at times last night. Well over 1000 classic cars and hot rods are in town for Street Machine Weekend, last night was the kick off with the "controlled" cruise in the downtown area and the uncontrolled action on...

That Corvette in the middle looks like my wife's one and only bucket list car, 1969 Mulsanne blue, L88 427 4 speed. I could buy one for her if it was big enough to live in.

    'Duster' cancelled

I enjoyed the show but I am not surprised that it didn't draw a big enough audience share to be renewed. Would be great if another network picked it up, however I won't hold my breath on that.

And the "Dumb *** " award goes to !

My wife is often looking for something that she swears she "just put down a minute ago". I hang my keys on a hook just inside the door and she doesn't use them, has her own keys for everything except my bike. Usually she puts them on the kitchen counter as soon as she comes in the house, but...

Yup, youtube and forums like this one are great sources of information. I joined the Super Coupe club of America forum for some of the information I needed for this latest project.

I don't expect to have it done by the weekend, but no big deal. It's going to be around 88* today and tomorrow so I probably won't be doing much after work, the heat just sucks the energy out of me. Plus I expect I'll be waiting for the gaskets I need for at least a day or two minimum. It's...

Spent an hour and a half last night in the garage, got the right side valve cover off, changed the plugs and wires, they were clearly the originals. New gasket is in place, cover is cleaned and ready to go back on, but I want to put some blue loctite on the bolts before I reinstall it. The pipe...

Just a little memory, maybe a confession.

I knew a guy that had 4 inch nails protruding up from the top of his fence, every inch or so, to keep the low life's out of his yard. He lived in a really shitty neighborhood, but had a big house and two oversized double garages. Cops warned him about it, but never did anything to stop him.

    “Numbers Matching”?

As long as your boss and his wife are happy with the car, and it sounds very much like they are, nothing else matters.
