@4spdragtop is correct on this one. Grab EVERYTHING from the donor vehicle if at all possible. If it connects to the engine, take it with you. Hoses, wiring, kickdown, cables, etc. You'll probably want to get the radiator too. Luckily, the 67-69 Barracuda came from the factory with a 383, so...

Agreed! And I wonder if any of them are old enough to have a driver's license?!? I am especially impressed by the guy with the seven-string guitar. Hell's Bells, I can hardly bang out a chord with just six strings. I can't imagine the confusion caused by an extra one.

For heat and soundproofing check out Kilmat on Amazon. I put it everywhere - inside doors, on the floor and firewall, under/behind seats, on the roof under the headliner, etc. It is affordable and does a great job.

If SSBC turns out to be uncooperative, here's another vote for Rock Auto. Measure the diameter of the knurl, the length of it, and where it is located on the stud. I got mine there when I converted to all right hand thread on my 66, which is still SBP. They were maybe a buck or two apiece.

Correct, I had my hoods mixed up. My 65 hood has the paddle style release lever.

The release is a little round lever, right in the front. Then there's the usual secondary release. I'll go get some pics in a bit, it's actually not raining today so it's easy to get to.

Would a 65 Barracuda hood work?

It didn't for me. I took all the undercoat off my Dart using one. It's filthy, noisy, exhausting work, but it is effective. You will need a big compressor to run one.

This is what was on my 69 Dart when I brought it home. I think it's from a Torino or something similar Ford-based? I did remove it as it was non-functional just bolted to the uncut hood. Oddly, it's not all that repulsive.
