Stop in for a cup of coffee

I blasted the pigeons at the range one time. I did well too. Had a ball. Realized afterwards that it would become a very expensive hobby. My spouse was not into me having expensive hobbies

    First Drag strip visit

So here is the magic question.... What was the name of the very first drag strip you went to, Who took you there and what kind of car did they have? . My first drag strip visit was 1972 where a guy named Robert Shipp from Ingleside Texas invited me to go with him to The Edinburg Texas dragstrip...

    Chalky coating

Cerakote is just one of several brands that offer high temp ceramic coating. Back in the day Jet Hot was the most commonly used in the automotive industry. Cerakote has grown in popularity over the years but I haven't seen any header manufacturers that use them. My Hedman's were Cerakoted...

    Power steering pump question

Don't turn it full lock, it hard on the pump over pressuring it when it hits the stop. It's not going to turn any farther anyway. ☆☆☆☆☆

    Oil Light comes on.

I use the idiot light and a manual. No one drives with their eyes glued to the manual, but should notice a red light if it comes on. It's just an alert.

    Chalky coating

Might sound crazy, but have successfully used Anti-Seize to polish and wax out aged chrome header pipes on our off road sand rail dune buggies. Works great. If you ever got anti-seize on your fingers you will know why it works. ☆☆☆☆☆

Next up Mopars vs the World

Well it looks like I’m going to miss this weeks Mopar race. I got pulled over Sunday going to church for an expired inspection sticker by a local officer. Power steering pump question

I don't think there's anything wrong but the belt is probably glazed and or a little loose. If it's glazed it needs replacing of course, but a lot of guys don't realize the pulleys also need attention. Take a wire brush on an angle grinder and get in the pulley grooves really good and buff the...

    Power steering pump question

Change out your power steering fluid. Those valves in the power steering get gummed up over time. Saved one caravan power steering issue with seafoam to break the gum, then a ps fluid change. Still working good today. ☆☆☆☆☆
