    First Drag strip visit

1968 with my dad and his 1966 F Stock Barracuda. 1980 with my 1972 Demon at the HS drags. My parents went to the beach that weekend and specifically said no parties and NO DRAG RACING. I went anyway thinking there was no way my parents would ever know. I’m wrong. A lot. The local news...

Thinking of switching from M1 single plane to LD340 but LD340 would need to be milled to fit. Is it worth it?

I'd rather use a vic340 w/7 /16 spacer blended aka used in the plenum development. The m1 is nice, but it does better AS IQ52 SHOWED US IIRR by machining a plenum insert/spacer that equalizes the shape toward a square bore carb. That manifold was developed with/for a spread bore carburetor...

#390144 is the E4 cam number. The E4 must be a grind number. I have found it listed for Ford's as well.

    Engine Installation

4 5/16 carb bolts have way more strength than 2 3/8 bolts 1 in each head in each end of the head. Some guy smarter than me figured this out many years ago. Kim

    Mopars on the Mother Road??

Well I’m thinking starting it in Chicago and ending at the pier. But since is know it is a MASSIVE amount of cruising, thinking of arranging check points and breaking it into various legs. Envisioning meeting up, cruising the route, stopping at the next check point to link up with whoever might...

    First Drag strip visit

Greer Dragway in Greer, SC in 1975. Went with my best friend who had a 70 Duster 340. Greer was still running 1/4 mile then, but had to back it down to 1/8 mile a few years later because of lack of room for shut down after a quarter mile pass. I ran pretty regular between 89 and 91. Ran my 74...

I don't see a cam and lifter kit with the E-4 isky cam. Can you verify what lifters you used? Also if the original was solid lifter, how come when you search by year and make all 11 of the cam and lifter kits have hydraulic cams? I found that strange with the isky website.

Where can I buy a reliable remanufactured 318 for 1971 Duster?

I've never had an engine balanced. Either 2 or 3 years ago I had all the machining done on a /6. Bored 0.020. crank polished std. also had pistons pressed onto rods. Block shot peened and magged. 0.030 off the deck. That was $400. Then I had the head shaved 0.070, seats machined for oversized...
