The correct carb number for a 1965 273 Commando is a Carter AFB. #3853S is for the manual transmission and #3854S is for the automatic transmission. No Holley 4 barrels were used in 1965.

If it's not OEM, then I can't say for sure. Most everything on the car is original, though.

What would be nuts would be to have a 30-40% or higher casting failure rate from core drop-out, resulting in an enormous pile of ruined castings waiting to be melted back down to be re-prepped/skimmed or simply left for dead.
