    Loosing fuel pressure

Mechanical pump? Dead-headed regulator? What happens if you rev it up a bit? say 1000rpm. BTW on the street, 3psi is lots, so long as delivers the volume.

New here - Power brake conversion

New here and looking forward to learning a lot. 1967 Barracuda Notchback with manual brakes. Does anyone know if I could use a 1970 Dart booster & master to convert to power brakes? Thanks

    Lifter failure

Right. Used to be you could just bust off a new engine and basically let it idle. Nothing ever happened. Maybe rev it hard once or twice to sling oil everywhere and you were on the road.

    Power steering gear valve question

Yes, when you reinstall that valve body, it has to be centered just right, else the car will self-steer. The usual way is to leave the vb-casting slightly loose, and start up the engine. As soon as you do, chances are that it will not be in the correct position, and so, the steering wheel will...

    Lifter failure

Dave, The FT lifter problem was never there prior to the mid 90s when manufacture moved out of the USA... Also, back 'in the day', we didn't have to remove inner springs for break in. Pontiac engines came from the factory with dual springs. They didn't remove the springs from 000s of engines...

What is the ONE thing your A body has you wish your modern car had?

No computers, no LEDs, nothing digital, no electrics in the doors, only uses a real key for everything, no batteries to charge.........I love it just the way it is.

    Random Thermoquad Carb

How many long screws did you remove? Should be 10! So many morons-when they say TQ's suck because they have a cracked or warped bowl. 99% of them didn't get the 2 screws in the choke horn and break them by beating on them. Glad you are asking!

    Spark Plug Advice Needed

A few people are saying fix the carb first. They are 100% wrong. Timing at idle [ & more if IT BIS needed ] IS NOT A BANDAID. What it shows is that folks do not understand what is going on in the cylinders...at idle!!! At idle, the air entering the engine is throttled [ almost closed t/blades...
