ideally, you'll need a press for the bearing and retaining collar. however, i've seen it done with a long length of appropriately sized pipe.

Last one to post in this thread wins!

Well, two of the five wheels that I have been refinishing for the Ventura turned out pretty well. The other three, not so much, the masking kit peeled the paint off of the spoke areas. Disappointing for sure, but the instructions did warn of that possibility, maybe the heat of the last two days...

1967 Plymouth Barracuda - Fuel tank not vented properly??????

I don't know how that line is supposed to be secured on a fish, but that is EXACTLY how it is configured, with a "U" up high near the top of the fender. And ending down into the frame rail is EXACTLY how it ends If it is dripping fuel, it is VERY simple---your tank is too full. The...

493 hard to start when warm

Pull the coil high tension wire and ground it to kill the spark. See if it cranks. If so, it's not compression, battery, cables, or the starter. Its way too much timing advance If it still does not crank it could be most any of the above. Start by looking for hot spots in the cables...

Much more better. I think they are 14x7 with 3” backspace. The driver rear is pretty close but should be fine. 245/60/14 on the back and 235/60/14 up front.

493 hard to start when warm

I have a 440 stroked to a 493 that is 10.5 to 1 compression and running a comp solid roller cam. It has an MSD distributor, ignition system and MSD high torque starter. I believe timing is set at 36 or 38 degrees and the distributor is locked out. The motor runs great and hasn't had any...

    Problem with reproduction steel wheels

...problems. Just saying. If I had to guess, maybe the screw-in studs are not properly seated in the back of the axles, and/or not installed at 90* to the flanges. Or maybe; by any chance are you running a manual trans and/or a high-compression engine? and/or Cal-Tracs? and/or Zero Brake...
