Does the 66 Valiant need a full floor pan or just patches? Auto Body Specialties has all 4 patches for early A bodies such as the 66 Valiant. Several years ago, someone on here used an AMD full floor pan from a 67 - 76 A body in an early A, but it took a lot of work to get the middle of the pan...

If the adapter you already have is one of the stacked type, with 4 bbl on one side and 2 bbl on the other, making one at one level may help. Do they have rules about gutting the bracing from the bottom side of the hood? Might be a tad bit of room there too if they don't care.

Somebody has to tell you, so it may as well be me. :( That is what's known as a 318 Poly motor and it will not fit in your 64 Barracuda, because it is too wide. The 318 Poly motors only came in B & C body cars, and also pickup trucks. They never came in Early A body cars like your 64...

Dumb question! :realcrazy: Anybody got a non OD A body 833 core with the large output shaft that they'd want to swap for a 67 B body 833 core? Swap at the show cause them things are too heavy to ship.

One other thing you might be able to do is to make a carb adapter out of a single level 1/4" piece of aluminum. Cut it out to fit the intake with a thin gasket and bolts at the 4 corners, then center the 2 bbl gasket up and drill the mount holes for the 2 bbl carb. Flip it over and countersink...

Sure doesn't seem like it, for sure! Time gets away though. Winston is a good guy, humble and seems like an old Rocker...lol. He got in a bad car wreck and was hurt pretty bad, but that was a while before his last post. Hope he's still on this side of the grass, and doing ok.

I got to thinking about the rear bar....do you think if you modified the bracket that bolts between the springs and the rearend housing, would it be easier and less risky than bending the bar? Maybe weld a new tab 1" outboard to each one if that wouldn't cause interference with the brakes?

No help on the rear bar, but how did you mount the E body front sway bar? I put one from a 70 Roadrunner, which is the same thing as an E body bar in my old 64 Belvedere wagon many moons ago. The good news is, that the K frame in Early A bodies such as the 64-66 Barracudas are the same no matter if the car came with a 6 cylinder or V8. You just need some Early A V8 motor mount brackets and insulators. The steering center link on V8 cars had a drop down in it so it would clear the oil...

Did you have to hone the holes out in the Magnum bolt pattern to get the plugs knocked in? I bought one of those intakes a while back when someone had them on sale cheap. I noticed that the plugs seemed to be too big for the holes, is why I asked. You did a good job on the paint...
