Are Speedmaster Heads Good? I've Heard a Lot of Bad Press on Edelbrock 340 Heads Lately

THANKS. Trick Flow Powerpoint 190s? will current headers and intake bolt up to them?

Left hand lug nuts are back, baby!

Correct, PLUS the bevel in the wheel and on the 5 individual lug nuts locks the nuts in place. If I am not mistaken, the single large nut they use in the center has a flat contact surface. So they need to be directional in order not to back off.

I’ll go get some this week and maybe put them in. The guy put most of the manifolds in trash bags and then tied them up. I assume that is how he has been storing them in his insulated but not temp controlled shop the past 11 years. I am going to have to start a “how to store all this ****”...

    Soft pedal after conversion.

We just had the same problem on Todds 67 barracuda. After market kit. It was the proportioning valve. Put a rebuilt one on the car. Cured

Left hand lug nuts are back, baby!

Probably because they actually did the math, the wheel guns are calibrated to provide exactly the right torque spec, and when properly torqued the psi on the nut will be more than enough to resist the small force exerted on the nut by the rotation of the wheel.

Is there a junkyard gem slant six combo?

I would say any older one that has a solid lift cam . But get a head without the spark plug cups they had hardened seats . Also have the head done at a machine shop. The head and valve adjustment are the most critical for performance. Raise the compression with cutting the head. I had a 62 's...

Is there a junkyard gem slant six combo?

IMO, the 79 Super Six is the best to build. Cast crank engine, but still solid lifters. The cast crank will take whatever you can throw at it and is much lighter than the forged crank. That'd be my choice. In fact, I'm lookin for one. lol
