Stop in for a cup of coffee

My parents had something similar and no, there’s really not much a steering stabilizer will do on that since it’s not got a solid axle under the front. Not sure if they make them for 2wd. On a solid axle, there is a bracket on the axle and then in the tierod link.then it uses a shock or two to...

    Track Finally Opened....

Track went hot on Saturday (4-27-24). Because of the wind and possible rain, I left the 318 Duster at home and just took the van down, as always, all in fun. In trophy I went out first round in a "do-over". I had the tree and probably the win but the tower messed up and stopped the clocks...

    Torqueflite 904 rear seal

Fatsco knows what they are doing. I delt with them for many years. Seals do not need to be broken in. That said, when installing the seal they should always have the "lip" lubricated with the same fluid that will be sealing. Otherwise the seal can "burn" up from a dry start. PS: When I lived in...

    Head liner

The earlier ones used bows and the later ones used a hardboard headliner. I think the cutoff year was 71-72, but not 100% sure.

A-body armrest - stripped threads in door’s sheet metal

I feel your pain on that one, as I delt with a couple those. I have a mig, tools and even taps and dies. So what did I do? Stuck a paper clip half way through and bent it down then put the screws in.

    [WANTED] 1971 340 Duster Parts

I'm looking for: Fender mounted turn signal indicators for a '71. I believe these are the ones that are painted body color, (require 3 holes), not the chromes ones from the later years. Need a pair that are suitable for a driver - do not need to be show quality. Battery hold down and...

    What gets a car moving?

Is this over Yet. You start the engine, put the trans in gear and you press the pedal on the right.

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

Power brakes is a plus and its on there so enjoy the no leg effort stops. Don't over think stuff get it running and driving take it from there.

1970 road runner wood grain steering wheel

Really like the 69 and earlier dart wood grain wheels.I wood like to put one in my 73 dart but i guess it won't fit because of the larger diameter wheel.I did notice you could get one for a 70 road runner and it has a plastic ring to make up for the larger column just wondering could that...

    Soft pedal after conversion.

Does happen once in awhile. Are the calipers installed with the breeder screws at the top? If not, never get the air out.

I Chose the 383 Big Block

I agree w/RRR. That piston is done. I'm surprised the cylinder wall survived. If this were me, I'd pull the other 7 pistons. Next, I'd put a mic on the cylinder walls with an eye to a rehone or possibly new +.020 slugs.

I Chose the 383 Big Block

Even if it was I'd junk it. That dished piston is used in the 2brl 383, be lucky to have 8.1 compression with a steel shim gasket.

Stop in for a cup of coffee

Not sure but I think so. Not like Carlile show not as packed with campers from what I've seen. Only been there twice but pretty mellow when I've been there.

    Torqueflite 904 rear seal

The seal came from a company called fatsco. Their website was pretty specific and offered insight in line with what you’re saying regarding how 65 was a unique year. I switched from the ball and trunion to a universal joint driveshaft , and thought I’d be thorough and change the seal while it...

    Solid Flat Tappet Valve Springs

That's what my machinist suggested. I run a decent mechanical pump. I believe its about 90 gpm. 26/10/15 slick 4 speed, 3.55/ 3.91. 4.30 no exceptional change in 60'. I swapped to a 11.5;1 360 and a Schneider grind 246/.510 solid on 110 with 308 heads and same spec valve springs. 1.94 1.6 valves...

A-body armrest - stripped threads in door’s sheet metal

If the metal around the hole is not completely worn away, you could take the window out so you can reach behind the panel and get a small bolt and nut with a flat washer on each side, put a box end wrench on the backside and tighten the front side until the washers flatten it.
