Well, finally got to Saigon. Her brother who is running an upstart limousine service drove us up here. But he doesn't really know the city of Saigon. And it is hellacious to drive around in. Plus the fact he was trying to use Google maps since he didn't know where he was going and it steered him...

I usually buy my work boots for in the shop, online from a company called " Shoes for Crews ". They have been very dependable. Shoes hold up for a very long time..

Needs to remember to bring a few kilos of Vietnamese high test coffee back to America with me later this month.. :lol:

So, plans can change at any second for any reason here in Vietnam. Initial plan was to drive up to Saigon and pick up the daughter at the airport and bring her back to our city of Vinh Long tonight. They just told me 20 minutes before we leave to go up that we will be staying for a night or two...

It's the overweight people that have trouble with the heat and humidity. But there ain't many of them here. Only seen a few..

Quite simply it is nature's sauna. You will lose weight when you are here. I can almost guarantee it. When I go to work out at the park in the mornings. Sometimes it could be a little humid. Dripping wet when I leave. But when I get on the motorbike and start riding, I dry off pretty quick

Sometimes the humidity can be bad here. But usually there is a breeze because of the rivers in the Mekong Delta area. So it's not so bad as other places in Vietnam

Beginning to get hot here everyday now. It's just before the rainy season. Been 95 or 96° everyday during the day and down to 81 or so at night. But we have air conditioning in the house, keep it at around 25° c. Actually have to put a blanket on at night
