I've looked at fiberglass and carbon fiber leaf springs to save weight. Problem is, they break, and they're mono leaf. Do people ever run a steel single main leaf with fiberglass or carbon fiber leaves for the rest of the stack? No breaky breaky but still lighter than a pile of steel.

I'm pretty sure stopping those old trucks just relied on rolling resistance, wind resistance and good luck. Curious for answers.

I've run the Solus for years on Neons. They're good tires. I bought the Coopers because they're made in USA, and I have about the same opinion of them. I wasn't unhappy with either.

If I'm not mistaken, that little 'ramp' around the center hole on those drums is going to cause a problem when you bolt those wheels on. That surface needs to be flat.

Use grease on one side of your housing gasket and it won't tear when you pull the front of the chunk off to drain the oil.

@VOETOM Tom, I can't believe it's been 5 years already! I stopped into a Mopar shop in Covington, Tennessee a couple weeks ago and was shocked to find out that he was making B/RB to A-518 adapters and was pretty knowledgeable. If you can include some more info on this in a revised version...

Unless your enemy has no air force, battleships are nothing but floating targets. There simply aren't enough land-based enemy targets within range of the shore, and any major naval opponent has aircraft carriers. That said, I certainly wish we still had stuff like that.

I've been watching their Youtube videos on battleship New Jersey for awhile now. The engineering in a ship that old is simply amazing.
