"Original Tech" article from Collectors guide

I agree toolmanmike. I restored a 1969 RR convertible, two Superbirds..one of which went to Grand National status with the AACA. My most recent restoration was my Grandmother's 1972 Plymouth Scamp with a 225 and A/C finished in 2003. I grew up with this car and while it's not some flashy...

    accelerator pump issues

I don't think I can add much to this post, but perhaps add that I have a similar issue. When I restored my 72 Scamp almost 10 years ago, I sent the carburetor to Holley for a rebuild. As long as I can remember the car had a problem where you have to really feather the gas from a stop or...

    Battery Toppers?

Those toppers look like a great thing. As far as batteries are concerned...I used to use the Antique Battery company. I had one fail prematurely. They told me on the phone to bring it to Spring Carlisle...which I did. A friend's father had a battery company and told me that a cell was bad and...

    Car Carrier Referrals Please

I recently had a car shipped via Reliable. The seller (who I have no reason to disbelieve) uses them all the time ans said he never had an issue. They picked up the car In California on Monday, May 24th. The seller called to tell me and said I'd hear from the driver in a few days. Without...

Little bit of a Mopar history question..

I would assume that Plymouth and Dodge "A"s were built at the same plants. Meaning, if a given plant built "A"s, they'd abuild Dodge and Plymouths. My '72 Scamp was built in the Windsor Canada plant. Not sure if any of this helps.

    Super Bird/ Daytona Sales

Here's my two cents. I restored two of these and they are indeed really awesome cars. Both are gone now. Both Superbirds. My former B5 'bird sat almost a year on the lot in Jacksonville, Florida...firmly in NASCAR country. If memory serves it was something like $4400 new...a bunch of money...

1971 Challenger from OVERHAULIN' on ebay

As someone obsessed with details...the nsaty rusty license plate screw drives me nuts! A small detail...and easily fixed...but on a car appraised at almost $300,000? Now I'm no E-Body expert but I see an A/C control, but no dash vents. I also notice incorrect VIN tag rivits...not t mention no...

    Yep....another noob!

Thanks again for the wonderful welcome. Scamp has been in the driveway or garage where I lived since 1974. I guess we grew up together. (We’ll not discuss who aged better!) More than one person couldn’t quite understand how I had interest in the Scamp, when I had restored a...

    Yep....another noob!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I live in Langhorne, PA. I just realized that the engine bay pic is from before the fenders were hung and the A/C was hooked up. Scamp was bought new by my Grandmom who placed Scamp in my care in 1992. At the time, I had a 440-6 Superbird that occupied my...

    Yep....another noob!

Greetings all! I have looked at this site many times, but today finally signed up. I was sent a link by a friend to a page with my name and car listed....so I figured it's time! I currently have just one "A", the '72 Scamp mentioned in another welcome thread. (While mine has a black top...
