just out of curiousty, don't know if anyone thought of this, but how about your vacuum advance on the distributor, get a vacum pump or suck on the end of the hose and see if your rotor moves, then that means your vacum advance is working, provided you got it in the right ported vacum, that would...

    340 mopar intake issue

ok guys, I have a 340 with a mopar intake. I paid 100 bucks for, paid 175 to get polished and 85 bucks to have powder clear coat on it, came out pretty darn good. Now I put it all together and WTF it does not have a coolant outlet to go to the heater core, there's no boss there to drill and tap...

Fuel sending units read WRONG time after time!

have you tried to run a new wire from the sending unit to the gauge, just tie wrap it for now, nothing perfect, just to see if the wire to the gause is not damaged somewhere, just a thought, I tried it on mine, I think my problem was bad grounding to the dash or something to do with the dash...

Difference in trans = better milage

I know, I should not be running so much rpm's with those gears. I'm running BF Goodrich 14 inch small bolt pattern 60 series tires I will look for a good MSD unit for the car

Difference in trans = better milage

Actually I'm using the chrysler electronic ignition, using the msd will make it better mpg, car runs real smooth at 3000 rpm's, don't know what the mpg are, never took it on a big trip. I am going to take to the spring fling in April at Woodly Park in Van Huys CA, thats about 48 miles from my house

Difference in trans = better milage

Hello, I don't know if this will be considered a performance issue but I have a 1971 340 Dart with a 904 trans 8 3/4 diff 2.76 ratio with small block pattern lugs. I drive it on the freeway doing 70 mph at about 3k rpm's. If I was to put in a 727 auto, would that up the mph some. I was told...
