Does anyone know of a source for prebent fuel line for a 64 Valiant?

Mine was cobbled up when someone installed an electric fuel pump on my Valiant in the engine bay. Finally dropped the tank, and I'll be replacing it since it has so much crap built up in it, I'll be going back to a mechanical pump as well and new filters. Anyhow, I have never seen so much build...

66 Valiant Sedan - new floors and lowering

Locate the rear able over the leafs, then you can use blocks from there until you arte happy our you can go with adjustable suspension (air bags or hydraulics) if you have the money and skills. The front you can adjust by turning the adjuster bolt on the front of the torsion bars. Just remember...

Nice start. Can't wait to see more. Would you mind sharing where you got the blind kit? I know you guys have some nicer accessories over there and I've been looking for a set here having never seen one.

    rat or not to rat

Please note the highlighted portion immediately after the underscored and italicized portion of your statement. With your devotion to all you feel your deity does I presume you must not use modern medicine, or go to the hospital when your sick. For after all, it is his will and should not be...

    rat or not to rat

I'm on the H.A.M.B. but not an alliance member. I rarely get on there anymore as there is such an influx of crap in the past 2 years, it's not worth my time to wade through it to find the threads worth viewing.

    rat or not to rat

I can only hope that poor excuse for a "truck" causes as much pain to passengers as it does to viewers. To try and justify that as "what your grandparents or old timers did back in the day" only shows extreme ignorance to the hobby. Old timers didn't drive around in busted up ****, they...

Will SBP discs from a 71 work on a 66?

I'm researching for doing this disc swap on my 64 and I just want to make sure I've got the information straight. I can reuse: upper control arm Upper ball joint Lower control arm Soft lines I need from a 66-72 disc brake setup: Lower ball joint Spindles Calipers Dual master...

I'll second Steele Rubber. EVERY seal I've ever used of theirs fit like factory or better, but I haven't used any on my Valiant yet.

"No Budget" 1966 Valiant 100 straight axle GASSER

Yeah, I know about the no inspection for 35 and older that we have. Handy, but a bit worrisome with some of the **** people try to pass off as drivable. So long as it's already been titled in NC you're good, if you ever get a project from out of state the DMV will have to inspect it first, but...

Thank you for the pics! That helped a lot. Those lower rear coilover mounts appear to hang awful low though.

"No Budget" 1966 Valiant 100 straight axle GASSER

Are you going for a gasser or a street freak? I see them mixed up quite a bit these days. Either way I'm interested to see how it turns out, but I hope you go for the gasser. I wish my 64 was in as good a shape as your 66.

48limo - are you looking to sell it or just showing it for those who haven't seen them? If you're looking to sell, I might be interested if the op isn't. I've only seen them on Australian cars myself.

    5208's on Amazon.com!

Almost all Amazon listings will say the item is on order, even if it's not at all. It's a bad thing about Amazon. I used to work for a company that sold 80% of it's merchandise through Amazon and noticed this was a common problem. Especially on discontinued items that you couldn't even order...

    Push button dash

That's a type 34 Ghia or a Razorback Ghia. The only Ghia nicer than a low light. Not sure on the first years available in the US but I know when I was looking I was able to find as early as 63 in the US. just nothing local.

    Push button dash

Ok, well damn, that's not near as cool as a push button trans. haha But I know they stopped mid year 64 with the push button. Goes to show you shouldn't assume things.

    Push button dash

Apparently my memory is complete ****, so I'll shut up now. But since you seem to be knowledgeable on the VW's can you tell me what the early 60's type 3's were referring to when they'd refer to push button cars then? I've not messed with an a/c VW in years and it was a bug, not a type 3 like...

    Push button dash

My mistake, I read that several years ago from what I thought was a reputable source (don't recall who anymore). It's quite odd that VW also stopped producing the push button automatics the exact same year. Wasn't it also right around the same time the P N D L R set ups were eliminated and R...

    Another new guy

Hahaha, I would never dream of putting anything other than a Mopar drive train in to a Mopar. If I ever have the money for the engine swap I pipe dream about for the New Yorker, I'll put the 440 in the Valiant. Until then it'll stay a slant.

That 66 has a nice set up, though I'd personally go for a FMIC vs. TMIC set up.

    Another new guy

Thanks for the welcome guys. Plans are to refresh the drive train. Engines worn out, transmission leaks like a sieve, but when it's full of fluid it drives great. So I figure might as well tear it down and replace anything that looks worn and all new seals. Floor boards are rusted out due to...

    Another new guy

I'm the owner of a 64 Valiant 4 door, with a 170 and push button. Awesome car, but needs a fair bit of work. I have some plans for the car, but they probably wouldn't fit in too well here.

    Push button dash

Federal regulations phased out the push button automatics in 65. That's the only reason I'm aware of at all that they stopped equipping them.
