    Wood's '408' low-buck Magnum build!

Hi all, I am kicking around the idea of upgrading my 360 Magnum to a 408 while I finish up my body work since I'm taking my engine out. Goal is somewhere in the 450HP/500TQ on 87-89 octane, max 10:1 compression. Street driving mostly. A few auto-x and drag runs a year. I have currently from...

When is it too much power for the street?

After having posts deleted out of a topic for not being on topic, I figured I'd fire up a thread and ask the question: Where is the line between having fun, and being irresponsible? Thanks!

    Broken valve spring dampers?

Working on a 5.9 magnum, RHS Indy X heads. .525 lift, 226 @ .050 duration, 112 LSA. Springs are newer Hughes 1110. Lifters were older and made noise at start up. Found a piece of #2 intake valve damper in the lifter valley changing out lifters and intake. What causes this? Should I replace...

The word with vacuum advance canisters?

So, I'm doing a little tuning getting ready for the 4th, and as I went to plug my advance in to check timing, I realized it didn't do squat. It's screwed in all the way with the allen setting. For fun I turned it out all the way, the middle, no go. Distributor is newer, within the last couple...

    Sunbust Mopar show

Went to the car show in Graham, WA today. Sure there were tons of 70-72 Darts, Couple Demons, a 73' Duster, and enough B/E bodies to choke a horse, all in all a good show. No jerks, but I showed up at the end so maybe they already left. Here are a few favorites...

    Post your favorite Mopar Myth.

Over time, I've noticed certain inconsistencies with certain parts and beliefs compared to other forums when it comes to Mopars. Not saying they don't have any basis to back up the claim, not claiming 100% accuracy either. I'll kick it off: Ma was the fastest thing ever built from the factory...

    Skunk CPR

A man and his wife were driving home one very cold night when the wife asks her husband to stop the car. There was a baby skunk lying at the side of the road, and she got out to see if it was still alive. It was, and she said to her husband, “It’s nearly frozen to death.. Can we take it...
