5.7 Hemi into an old Suburban.

Ordered a set of the Speedway motor mounts, price was reasonable ($98 for the pair). Should make things a lot easier.

5.7 Hemi into an old Suburban.

I'm thinking of using the steering column from the donor so I have cruise control etc. I think this would also tie in the gear selector to the display. Any thoughts?

Pictures would be great, what did you end up doing on the wiring etc.?

5.7 Hemi into an old Suburban.

Thought about that, would need to stretch the frame (the donor is a short box single cab), plus the chassis and suspension have seen better days.

Any suggestions on a company to flash the stock PCM?

5.7 Hemi into an old Suburban.

I have just started a 5.7 hemi swap into a '68 2wd Suburban (partially for the power, partially to piss off the Chevy guys). I have a complete 2005 half ton Dodge pickup donor. I plan to use the complete motor/trans (auto), along with the stock gauges from the Dodge. I know there are a lot of...

    Which Magnum flywheel to purchase

Thanks for the reply, I think the website that had the MP flywheel weight listed at 18.5 lbs may have been incorrect, can anyone verify the correct weight on this one?

    Which Magnum flywheel to purchase

I am getting to order a flywheel for my slightly modified 360 Magnum that will be going in my Demon. Looks like the choices are the Mopar P5249842 and the Mcleod 464102-15A. The main difference I see is the MP flywheel weighs 18.5 lbs and the Mcleod 30 lbs. Any suggestions? Car will have some...

    360 flywheel question

Does anyone know the difference between the Mopar P4529110 (360 LA) and P5249842 (360 Magnum) flywheels? Both are 130 tooth, 10.5" clutch, 6 bolt attachment to crank. Any thoughts?

    Dodge Demon header question

Looking at getting a new set of headers for my small block 4 speed Demon. Do all brands require that the steering be disassembled to install the drivers side header? The headers that came with the car are this way. Thanks in advance!

    360 Magnum question

I found a new in the crate 360 Magnum engine and I am thinking of putting it in my 4 speed Demon. I did a little research on what needs to be done to install it in place of a standard small block. Are there and cheap mods that can be made to it to bump up the performance? Was told that shaving...

    Need gear ratio advice.

Thanks to everyone for the input! I think I will give the 3:55's a shot (it helps that I have a set already)! :-)

    Need gear ratio advice.

Will probably be running a 26" tall tire for both street and strip. Would like to keep shift points pretty low (5200-5400). Looks like 3.55's with a 26" tire would be about 2980 rpm @ 65 mph (about where I would like to be).

Aldo, do you think a 741 case will hold up OK?

    Need gear ratio advice.

I'm putting together a street/strip '71 Demon, will be running a slightly warmed over 318 and a 4 speed. Approx. 26" tall drag radials, 8 3/4 posi. Should I run with 3:55 or 3:91 gears? Thanks in advance!

Cheap and easy fix that got my wagon up and running again!

Just checked with the local dealer, the gasket is still available, went ahead and ordered one for a spare. Dealer wasn't sure how much longer they will be available. The quick fix still got me out of a bind!

Cheap and easy fix that got my wagon up and running again!

After driving my Valiant wagon home the other night, I found it was leaking fuel from the sending unit in the front of the gas tank. I pulled it apart and found the sending unit gasket had seen its last day of usefullness. After an unsuccessful trip to the Oreilly's down the street for some...

    Buyer beware!

Was told by Rob at Midwest that Hughes would do nothing since they are race parts. I was at my local machine shop when the springs were tested, none were the same pressure out of 5 springs tested (and all way too low of pressure).

    Buyer beware!

I think some of the Hughes stuff is OK, I do have a set of their rockers, much better than the Pro Comps. I would not recommend their valves or springs, even to run on a farm truck.

    Buyer beware!

Just a warning, do not conduct business with Rob at Midwest Performance Products in Diller Nebraska. He sells questionable quality parts, does not stand behind his work or the parts he sells. The Pro Comp CNC castings are pretty nice, the valves, springs etc. he installed are JUNK! The springs...
