Try the fan belt first then see if someone will loan you a flywheel and pull trans and see if vibration is in trans. My money is on the trans, converter or flywheel

That carb should work fine. Piece of cake to rebuild. Might just lack a little hp on top end. Hardest part to rebuild is getting the O rings in correct on fuel transfer tube. They make a secondary metering plate that has replaceable jets in it, makes it a lot easier to tune.

Make sure the rotor does not have a burn spot right in the center just below the contact. Usually can see best from bottom.
