    Duster Re-do

Just got these back from Mopar Leo and they look great. Waiting for a new stripping drum to arrive and then will probably be able to get the rest of the car stripped, plan is to hit it hard this winter and have it ready for painting by spring.

    Duster Re-do

Well not much of an update, had our third child about a month ago, so progress has slowed down. Still working on stripping the car, good news so far is there’s no hidden rust yet and no hidden damage yet.

    Duster Re-do

Well, so far so good, used it for about 30 minutes and got the trunk lid stripped, I definitely liked using it better then a grinder with a flap wheel or sanding disc attachment.

    Duster Re-do

Unfortunately I don’t have an air compressor yet, that’s the next big purchase I’m saving for but I agree sand blasting or soda blasting would be a lot easier route to go.

    Duster Re-do

Yep kind of knew that buying the motor but when you live in rural Montana 340’s are hard to come by. Here’s some more pictures appears to have domed pistons and a pretty stout solid cam, looks like a comp grind 282s-10, might need to downgrade the cam a bit.

    Duster Re-do

Well not much of an update, slowly been working on patching the floor and going to start tackling the body work. Did however manage to find a 340 with x heads that I have started to tear down, doesn’t look like it was ran much but unfortunately some water got in cylinder 8 while it was stored so...

    What to do?

Starting to work on stripping my duster body and it seems as though I have two dusters welded together.First three pictures are of the drivers side where the seams meet and last three are the passenger side.Drivers side doesn’t seem to bad but the passenger side is pretty rough. I guess my...

    Duster Re-do

The rear quarters must’ve been replaced once before as the car is mini-tubbed and whoever did it decided to fill the roof/quarter seam with a bunch of body filler and it was starting to crack. I guess down to bare metal might be in this cars future.

    Duster Re-do

Some more photos, car is pretty solid, seems like the worst dent is in the tail panel and the hood is pretty rough
