    Wiper switch

Sounds like you have a 2 spd switch that is bad and only working on low speed. Think of it this way,... 2 spd switch has three positions,.... Off, Low, High. Sounds like yours is only working on low.

This is why I won't buy a FBBO gold membership

is your buddy the guy from Fast & Loud?? Kidding of course! What you described is exactly what I think of him. No love for the cars,... just how much money he can make off them. I like Aaron Kaufman from the show, but stopped watching when Aaron left because I can't stand Richard!

    Rim suggestion

That or he is assuming a bigger wheel automatically means a taller tire, reducing overall gear ratio. In either case, I agree that it's a bad assumption. My opinion,.... go for it man! Make it the way you want it to be! Kudos to you for appreciating these old cars!!

    Fuel sender issue

Gauge bad maybe? Or maybe some resistance in the wire leading up to your instrument cluster?

    Rim suggestion

Why not? If that's the look he wants, no issues with that. I'm glad to see a 14 year old being interested in a Duster!! Better than a Honda Civic!

    More disc brake questions

Get ahold of Cass at Doctordiff.com. When I was talking with him about my options for my Barracuda, he said he could get me rotors with my small bolt pattern, then when I switch everything to big bolt pattern, I would just have to switch out the rotors. It's possible that he has a big bolt...

How close, is to close for rad fans to water pump pulley space

I saw that thread too and thought about doing the same thing. It looked like it would be a fun thing to try. Then I thought about it and said to myself... "Self,... I ain't got time for that!! Let's buy one!". :) I did enjoy the thread though! Turned out good!!

Let the Fun Begin - 1965 Barracuda Project

I don't know if it will help, but I knew Brewers Performance sells used 4 speed humps so I popped on their site quick to see what they had. They had this picture posted for a 64-65 A body. Might give you an idea of what you will need to cut from the floor from the donor to have enough to mate...

    Caster and Camber.

My Barracuda is set at -.9 degrees of Camber, + 4.9 degrees of Caster and about 1/16" of toe-in. We didn't intentionally set it there. I just told the shop to get the Camber somewhere between -.5 and -1 degrees of negative Camber and as much Caster as they could get, and that's where we ended...

How close, is to close for rad fans to water pump pulley space

There is definitely some truth to this. They help protect the fingers of people who aren't paying attention, or just aren't very bright! (Story to follow!!) Back in the 80's when I bought my Charger, it had a 440 with a fan like the one shown below, with no shroud. I stopped by a friend's place...

How close, is to close for rad fans to water pump pulley space

Well,... That didn't take long. I bought it from Mancini Racing. You are right. The description now says "Rated up to 10,000 RPM". I don't remember where I got the 8000 RPM rating off the top of my head. Maybe it was 10,000 RPM all along and I was just remembering wrong, or maybe I was thinking...

How close, is to close for rad fans to water pump pulley space

One thing people need to be aware of is the RPM rating of the mechanical fan. If you look close, a lot of the "Flex-Fans" out there are only rated for 4000 rpm. Mainly because a lot of them are either all aluminum, or steel frame with aluminum blades. I don't run my motor hard, but I knew I...

How close, is to close for rad fans to water pump pulley space

I dealt with the same issues on my Barracuda. I talked to Cold Case about it and was told the same thing as they said above.... The only thing that would fit was twin 10" fans and a tight shroud. They warned me that the twin 10" on a 22" radiator would mean that less than half of the radiator...

    Oil pan questions

I look at it this way,... There was a reason that Chrysler put baffles and windage trays in their oil pans, at least on the more performance oriented engines. The baffles WILL help keep oil down in the sump of the pan for the pickup tube. I bought the "402" pan for my 440 from Mancini Racing...

67 Barracuda front brake drums, Alignments and tires

Understandable! For the record, you CAN separate the hub from the drum, at least on my '67. Problem is the lug studs are swaged to capture the drum, so you need to cut the swage off before pressing them out of the hub or you'll ruin the hub. I've heard of people using the right size hole saw, or...

67 Barracuda front brake drums, Alignments and tires

Another thing you could look into is to contact Cass at Doctor Diff. I'm looking at converting over to big bolt pattern and disc brakes up front, but can't afford to do it all right now. He said he can get me a disc brake conversion for the front that has small bolt pattern rotors. Then when I'm...

    Lower control arms help needed.

One of mine on my Barracuda was tight too when I rebuilt the front end. I soaked it good with penetrating oil to get it moving a little. Still wasn't as smooth as the other side. I finally drove a chisel between it and the control arm (carefully) to give them a little extra spacing. That...

Steering coupler installation on steering column

There shouldn't really be any issues of "Where it is". As long as they didn't press the cross pin out of the column shaft, it should still be pretty centered in the column shaft. Check the shoes fit on that cross pin to ensure there isn't excessive wobble though. Most don't, but mine did so I...

    Upper control arm

I got my new upper control arms for my '69 Charger from Cass at Dr Diff. On my Barracuda, my threads were a little questionable too. I screwed them in then tacked them in place with the welder, just like you said.

Revell's 69 Dart on the Bench -Wheel Decisions

I guess it depends on what you are going to do with the body. I really like the wheels in the first pick. Reminds me of the wheels that were on a convertible Corvette Gasser model I built years ago. I'd use those, unless you are going stock paint scheme on the body, then I might consider the...

Paint removal from turn signal lense?

A friend taught me a trick for removing paint or chrome from plastic car models. On chrome pieces that you want to remove the chrome from the plastic, put it in a Tupperware container, cover with Windex and seal it up for a day or two. Chrome will come right off without hurting the plastic. For...

    Springs

I agree. When I was looking to order my springs for my Charger, I called ESPO spring and asked what they had to offer. I will be running a 440 4spd setup. If I remember correctly, the springs they suggested had 5 full leafs per side, with an extra half leaf on the driver side and 2 half leafs on...

Rear leaf spring recommendation for 67 Barracuda

If it were me, I would contact someone at either ESPO Springs and Things, or Eaton Spring. I am by no means an expert on leaf springs, and don't want to be a "Keyboard mechanic". I just know that they offer different springs with various spring rates, and I also know that you can order +1", and...

    Radiator and Fan clearance...

I never liked the inlet and outlet on the same side. I guess I was always worried that you may not get even flow across the width of the radiator. It's probably fine, but I'm thinking there is probably a reason the inlet and outlet are usually on opposite sides.

    Column shift with Bucket Seats?

My 69 Charger SE had column shift with buckets and buddy seat. Keeping the buddy seat, but changing to 4spd. Car is not matching,... no build sheet or fender tag and original motor and trans were long gone before I bought it YEARS ago, so I am building it how I want it.

    Big block A Body headers

I don't have an RB motor either,.... Mine is a 400 "B" engine in a '67 Barracuda. I'm running Schumacher Tri-Y and they are tucked up nicely.

    Radiator and Fan clearance...

Careful on the flex fans, as I noticed that most of them are only rated to 4000-5000 rpm, which seems kind of pointless to me. That's why I chose the one I did, as it was rated to 8000 rpm per Mancini Racing website. I'm running that fan on a 1/2" spacer and it left me plenty of room in front...

    Radiator and Fan clearance...

Depends on what you are looking for. You have a LOT more room than I had. I don't know if you prefer electric or mechanical. You should have plenty of room to run a short clutch fan in there. I can't think of the part# off the top of my head, but I know that Hayden makes a 2.75" fan clutch. By...
