I am looking at a dart that has a broken T bar mount, i have only seen pictures the seller says it not rusted but developed a crack and then broke a few inches inside the passenger side mount. This car is a 6cly AT If this section of the frame is to be replaced can it be done or is there another...

Hay that is cool, 78 and a 4speed most were autos. The motor should be a 360 but who knows what someone might swapped in. I have had many trucks of that age, good luck with the rebuild and have fun.

There is an adapter between the transfer case and the trans. this is adapter is also the mounting boss.

If the engine is just setting in the mounts and you can pull it back out it would do that, set the headers in the car and drop the engine back in over them. I have changed headers on a 74 Duster a few times with the engine and trans in place and it can be a PIA but i have found raise the engine...

It may have a rubber coupler between the steering box and steering shaft that could be worn my 2cents

Can you still get the bolts that hold the center section and axles in the tubes from Dodge? if so can some one tell me the part numbers. Or is there a better source for this hardware??

I was going to install the Moog K-7103 in my 1974 duster but found they wont work with the factory bolts?? The bolts are smaller than the inside diameter of the bushing. Use bigger bolts then i would have to enlarge all the frame mounting area. Any one ever had this problem?

The balance is different correct? the 340 is externally balanced and the 318 is a balanced neutral shaft correct?

How would this change the dis and compression of the engine??? its a 73 block. I am unsure if the 340 rods were used or the 318?? Would this be an improvement over the stock 340 stuff??
