Calling all Aussie members-who are you!

Hi Matt, If it is 30 years or older then it can stay left hook but the laws are changing making it harder and harder to do anything. I am sure our idiot government wants all to drive a Prius....:pain10: :sad2:

    Another Aussie 62 Valiant

It has been a while since I posted anything so I figured I should post an update. I have now fully recovered from the broken axle and the disc brake rear is in and working well. The car has always stopped fairly well but now it is excellant. Should have put 4 wheel discs in years ago. I...

Summernats - For those that don't know is probably the biggest street machine show in the southern hemispere with just shy of 1500 cars entered. Mopars are usally very light on at this event but what is there is pretty good (MartyTheTrimmer posted some pics in Hot Mopar Babes). Anyway my...

    Toad tires

Hi Joe Yes 235's will touch the standard guards but from memory it was only on the edge under the bumper bar and only on full lock. You can see where mine has been cut back if you look at the photo Marty has posted above . It memory serves me correctly a 225\60\14 on a 7" rim with a 3.5"...

What headrests do I use in the back seat?

I was originally intending to install headrests with 7" screens in them, same as the front have but after much consideration have decided that they will only be installed for particular events with standard style headrest fitted normally. Now this is where the problem lies, do I use the smaller...

    Toad tires

I am the mate and Marty is right. 235's would be better and the next set of tyres will probably be 235 on the rear however I ran 245/60/14 on all four corners for years with only the lips on the front guards rolled. If you can get them then 245/50/15 should go under the rear with slightly...

Hood Hinge - Long story - Short version is had a spare hood which I prepared , cut a hole, panelled on the inside and discovered that we could not adjust it properly this why it sits high at the rear. Lesson learnt. Should have just cut up the original hood....

Well this is an almost completed restoration as far as a street machine is ever almost completed. This thread is just a general overview of the car and I will post a specfic thread on the LPG setup for those that have asked. I bought this car as a stocker way back in 1986, an Alpine white...

Henry I too will be watching this build. Looking good so far, Now to your sway bars. I bought a K-Mac Bolt-on bars. Bolted the front one in and checked everything and then welded it in. (I will find the part # and post it) So far it has proved to be worth the effort and there is no...
