Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

...except...there's caster built into the dolly, and it will turn... and turn to lock...quickly. ...and once it goes to lock, then the dolly fenders want a piece of your car on the dolly's fender. I've debated installing thick, removable hitch pins through the pads to the frame. At least that...

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

Another ting that's "fun" to try to back up is a car on a dolly. You basically can't do it. A few feet straight back...if you're lucky.

Has anyone had experience with Kumho tires

That's what I liked about those 711 Ecsta's. Still soft but not as soft as OEM. (Eagle RSA?) Great compromise between traction and tread wear.

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

My yard is 100x220. The house is about 1/3 of the way back. 6 feet of shrubs and pineapples from the back fence. 30x26 pole barn on one side, 5 feet from that fence. Septic field on the other, with a 10' drive way on the fence line. I get to turn truck and trailers around in the area that's...

So, what moved in after the spider was gone? Roaches? Flies? Something worse? My rule is- if they eat things that are nastier than they are, they can stay.

    NHL 23-24

Nice to see Kuch be the 5th player in NHL history to got 100 assists in regular season. Normally that wouldn't be a bad thing, right? Unless one of the guys you're competing for a trophy with became the 4th the week before. I wanted to see Mathews get 70 goals, too. Bummer. But: 1- how...

Has anyone had experience with Kumho tires

I LOVED the Ecsta 711 in 255/55/17 for my Dakota R/T. They were the best tire for the money. Unfortunately no longer made. Some Kumho's are made in Akron, by former "tire capital of the world USA" employees. BFG TA's ain't what they used to be. Coopers and Master Craft are better tires by the...

Me too, and I don't know why. I even get creeped out looking into a gallon of water real close.

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

I picked up one of those sets of foam balls on telescoping magnetic bases that you're supposed to use one on the hitch and one on the tongue to line up... ...but they don't work great for that on my vehicles. Instead, I stick them to the back corners of the trailer, and it puts those yellow...

    NHL 23-24

I've had "life" interfere with my viewing schedule for the past few weeks. Missed a couple big TBL wins Incl BOS) and a couple big losses (incl PIT). They are at least locked in now at East WC1

Kits are available. .040 over makes a 392. One of Mopar's "magic numbers".

    Freddys not dead

When we were in SLC for my wife's side business, we ate at an In-n Out. The line was backed up out of the parking lot. For the life of me, I can't figure out what the attraction is. IMO worse than McDonalds. 3 of the 4 people in my party didn't even half finish the burger. Yuck.

For a real burger with wide availability- Denny's. Hand pattied.

    Freddys not dead

I've been on Culvers for a fast food burger. They remind me of Wendy's before the changed their patty which I now find rubbery and bland. Good fish and also good custard.

    Freddys not dead

We just got a Freddy's near where I work. To me it's very similar to Steak And Shake, without the toasted bun. I'll rate them a 7. Good custard, though.

    Electric guitar...

My model 2 has held it's value, too. It was $500 new in 1987 (an 86 model), and is worth about that now. Those first gen MIJ Charvels were and still are nice.

Help me decide on a floor jack

I'll also advocate for the HF "low profile" 3 ton steel jack. It's low enough to get under Mopar lower control arms. All of us should be aware of how valuable that feature is! I bought mine in 2010. It's so old, it "only" rated for 2 1/2 tons. After about 5 years, it did start bleeding down...

Help me decide on a floor jack

I was introduced to the air bumper jack in HS auto shop. Since then I've always wanted one. Finally, about 12 years ago, I accidentally stumbled onto one at a place I was buying other things at. It had been stored outside for at least a decade but still worked. (I have never seen one that didn't...

    Electric guitar...

I LOVE my 2012 Schecter Sunset Deluxe FR! I thought nothing could pry my fingers from my beloved '86 Charvel model 2. I was wrong. The neck is almost identical....and there's the Floyd. My third guitar in 1990 was almost a pawn shop 1974 Gibson SG left hand. I intended to string it right and...

MN guys: Cottens NAPA stores are no longer owned by "Cottens".

About 10 years ago, there was a NAPA store sell off around here. The one closest to me closed and never reopened. The one about 3rd closes was advertised aggressively for what seemed like a bargain- 75K for the franchise. Not sure exactly what was included but that was real tempting. It is...

Product Review EverTough Nut Splitter 65126

I thought all those were basically the same. Guess not. The one I've had since the early 1990's has a spline down the inside to keep the chisel from rotating. I bought it specifically to split nuts on axle U bolts and it's done that for decades. Of course, the last time I needed it, I...
