I think i broke rear main bearing

How about a brazed stud, then use a nut to secure the pump? Could that work?

speedmaster stuff pulled from Summit racing shelves

Let's not forget that as the cost of production goes up (labor, regulatory compliance, etc), the profit margins get thinner and thinner. Costs end up getting cut somewhere. It gets really easy to see why a lot of this **** gets outsourced oversees.

Timing chain set for the street/driver?

I've had good luck with Engine Pro sets. I've only been able to get them through engine shops though. https://www.enginepro.com/downloads/newdata/EPG_TimingSets.pdf

speedmaster stuff pulled from Summit racing shelves

For what it's worth, Speedmaster isn't machining Edelbrock's logo on the side of their heads like they are with the guy's copycat valvebodies.

speedmaster stuff pulled from Summit racing shelves

I was referring mostly to SM. They're the main culprit in my opinion. Good on Summit for cutting ties.

    1968 Dart Quarter Window Bolts

Can you drill and tap it in place? It'd probably be a total pain in the ***, but possibly doable. Just raise or lower that part to where you can get a straight shot on it with a drill. Hell, if you mess it up, maybe a through bolt and nut on the backside would work.

speedmaster stuff pulled from Summit racing shelves

If there were no legal implications, why would SM and Summit stop suddenly selling them? Out of the goodness of their heart?? Doubtful.

speedmaster stuff pulled from Summit racing shelves

I don't think it's the copycat **** that's getting them in trouble. It's the fact that they actually put the dude's business name on it. Dude's lawyer should have a field day with this one.

    1968 Dart Quarter Window Bolts

If you can get get the broken piece out, I'd just cut the head off that bolt in the picture and use the washer along with a new bolt. Of course, you'd still want/need two thick paper gaskets and a small piece of rubber hose to mount the glass. Not the end of the world at all.

340 exhaust heat shield needed for Van's to repop.

And to think, when I was just getting into Mopars as a kid, these types of discussions were reserved for the E/B-body crowd. I'd never imagine A-body folks needing a correct exhaust heat shield. Don't forget your roots, guys. :poke: Seriously though, I wonder how many of these are sitting in...

    Parts Cache Value…

Doc, do you really have $500k in outstanding student loans? Ouch!! Damn man. I'd be putting the 15-20k into knocking that down, then buy parts later.

    Cars that sit awhile.

I'd bet its a combination of that and today's rubber just isn't the same either. Tires and radiator hoses sure don't seem to last as long as they used to.

    Cars that sit awhile.

Man, I just wish I had the space to have cars sit. I could definitely understand how having a handful of cars would mean some of them sit for a while. Good thing it's easy enough to wake them up though. Time to invest in some car covers maybe or at least a harbor freight tarp. :poke:

    Parts Cache Value…

If your plan would be to flip it to make money, how much is your time worth? Think of the hundreds of hours it would take to sell the stuff. Just not worth it to me. If you actually want or need the stuff, go for it!

Help me decide on a floor jack

If you're pressed for cash, pick up and old quality one off craigslist. There isn't much that can go bad on these things and rebuild kits are pretty affordable. I love my old Sears 2-ton. It's heavy, but it was passed down from my uncle and it works fine.

    Underbody paint advice needed

I used raptor liner for the rear part of the interior in my '66 Dart. I wouldn't worry too much about the thickness at the spring mounts etc. If you're worried about it, you can always go a little lighter in those areas. Or, you could avoid them all together (assuming you plan on using a shutz...
