    Opinion wanted...garage hoist hookup...

you have two plates with four bolts per plate. that is .25 x.375 for .09375 square inches x 4 bolts per plate is .09375 x4 = 0.375 square inches. a grade 5 bolt has a single shear strength of 8280 lbs per square inch that times .375 per plate = 3105 lbs of load at shear per plate or 6210...

    How much is it worth?...

After much thought and consideration and lack of funds, I will most likely be putting the Duster up for sale. Just curious what a fair price would be for a car with the following specs 1973 Duster, factory/dealer a/c car The only rust i know of is a small hole behind driver rear tire and...

    Suggestions/input wanted....(kinda long)

The suspension is done. I've toyed with the idea of getting another block, but you'd be suprised what people will ask you to pay for around here. I think your ideas and suggestions have given me the direction I've been looking for. I think I'll work on the interior next. Really I have to do...

    Suggestions/input wanted....(kinda long)

I do have subframe connectors, 2x3 rails tied into rear. I will have a 4 point Roll Bar at some point. So that's a good idea, but I think I need to have the seats first so I don't put the bar where the seats need to be. I'm actually probably going to put on a Demon front end, but i'm not sure...

    Suggestions/input wanted....(kinda long)

I'm looking for some motivational suggestions. My work on my car has been suspended since back in May or June, due to financial issues (ex girlfriend. :cussing: ). I'm very close to having a running car, but I have a bunch of loose ends so to speak. Here's a little background on my...

    Wheels, considering going 17"

They are actually closer to 20 lbs. you may think 5 lbs isn't much, but it is when you consider the rotational mass at 80 mph. My 17x9's are 23. Also don't take my previous post about the 15's as a negative comment. I think it looks great. Cheers

    Wheels, considering going 17"

I agree with you guys that like the Cragar and other 15" variety wheels. They "fit" the car better in more ways than one. The main reason I'm going with 17" or possibly 18" wheels is b/c you can't get Z rated 15" tires that fit muscle cars anymore. BFGoodrich used to in the R1, but they dropped...

    Wheels, considering going 17"

Here are some test fitment pics of the a 17x9 Cobra Wheel on my Duster. I don't imagine I'll run these as they are on my Mustang right now, but thougt I'd offer the pics for digestion. I will point out one thing, the wheels that DartCustom360 posted do differ from the ones that flyboy01...

Anybody had problems with Comp's red break in lube?

if the heads have dual valvesprings, and the inners weren't removed during breakin this problem can occur.

    Holley 4bbl Injection

Does anyone have the Holley 4bbl Injection? I'm building my car from the ground up so to speak so I have to start from scratch on my fuel system. I've done some price shopping and it seems the F.I. is about the same cost as the components for a carburetor. Thanks

    Road Racing/ Auto X

I doubt I'll do much SCCA stuff, (issues with the local chapter) I usually hang around with NASA. The most I'll probably do is time trials on the road course. With my budget and various other projects, I can't afford to race a MOPAR. I currently have a Fox body Mustang that I'm using for my...

    Road Racing/ Auto X

That's awesome. Here's my initial setup.. 1.09 or 1.14 t-bars 1.25 sway bar xhd leafs and no sway bar (most likely will be changed/upgraded) I currently have kybs, if they won't cut it maybe somw qa1's or konis I'm going to have the 11-3/4 rotors and wilwood kit from arengineering, home...

Does anyone know where to get a rollover switch so that if you're in crash the fuel pump will be shut off? Thanks J

New pics working on the interior now.

It's nice how that seat is really close to the rears. Off topic question, what size tires do you have on the rear of that car in the picture? Thanks J

A roll cage pic and question

I won't claim to be an expert but I would think you'd want it higher. In a roll over the roof will most likely collapse down to the hoop. if you head/helmet is above the hoop it could result in a back injury at best. J

I know its off topic, but.....

I done this recently myself. Make sure you get the wiring "upgade" harness too J

    What's everybody doing for seats?

I'm using Acura Integra buckets. They are very similar throughout the years, mine are from a 91 4 door though. The mounting can be a little tricky, but it's nothing a welder and some metal can't fix.

    Wierd part needed!

I just did this on mine. I did the one on the arm to the driver side wiper arm and it was easy as pie, once i figured out what i was doing wrong. Don't think I didn't say some choice words figuring out how to get it back together without cutting my self to death. I pulled the gauge cluster...

    megasquirt?

Many DIY EFI type systems can utilize the factory Mopar electric distributor since it is a Hall Effect type distributor. If you have a more advanced system that needs a cam sensor as well. Accel makes a distributor for the small block with a cam and crank signal (two hall efect sensors, a...

    megasquirt?

He're what I'm doing. I'm using a small block but the same can apply to your 440 since the firing order is the same as my small block and small block Chevy's. I am using a 91-92 Camaro/Corvette ecm. The following link is for a guy making interface to program the ecm so you can program/tune...

    Finished... Alter-K-Tion install.......

I'd like to know the cost too. I'm setting my car up for Road Racing. Part of me wants to keep the torsion bar, to keep the Mopar heritage, but then again better is better no matter how you look at it. I'm just about finished welding up my 2x3 subframe connectors(ran out of argon yesterday)...

    Dart/Demon Front Spoiler

I'm actually putting a Dart/Demon nose on my 73 Duster, so my car will essentially be a "Demon" ( no offese to purists ). I'll be doing something, I'm going to be using the car for Road Race Time Trials. I've just built a rear aluminum spoiler for my Fox Mustang, I may do the same for the...

'72 Dart/Demon front clip on '73 Dart Sport

I'm doing this very thing to my '73 Duster. Nothing against the pointed nose A-bodies. I was search on CarDomain one day and a Demon came up and I said "That's It" and decided I have to have it. The parts I've found to be needed are; Hood Fenders Fender extensions, if not bought with the...
