    Control arm hits the frame

Thank you mate! Didn`t think about the nuts. Hopefully the bushings are not damaged yet - they were new :violent1:

    Control arm hits the frame

I have the following question: Left side (driver side) When I screw out the adjuster bolt completely, the adjuster tab goes all the way down (it sinks into the LCA). Now when I pull out the torsion bar, the adjuster tab goes up into a middle position. It keeps on standing "between" the LCA...

    Control arm hits the frame

The ride height on both sides is exactly the same and also the whole car is completely even. There is also a huge scratch in the left side of the frame but this one seems to be older because it is already covered with dirt and grease. But on the right side it is totally blank (looks fresh)...

    Control arm hits the frame

Hahaha - you are great! :-) The strut rod bushings have also been replaced (see picture above) ;-) I nearly was 100% sure that the adjuster tab was not set in the right position. But when I released the tension with the adjuster bolt completely and pulled the torsion bar out it came down all...

    Control arm hits the frame

Hi there, all bushings, ball joints - and also the idler and pitman arm are new. I replaced them last year. My suggestion is that the adjuster (the "finger" of the lower control arm) is not in the right position. It is standing to close to the frame. I think I have to pull the torsion bar...

    Control arm hits the frame

I am driving a 1973 Plymouth Gold Duster, 318 cui engine. And I agree - telling you that I took the photo from a another thread does not 100% mean that it isn't a photo of my car. I was nearly sure that I wrote in my opening post "this photo is not showing my car" - but I was wrong ;-) Sorry...

    Control arm hits the frame

@ 67Dart273 It is okay when you are making fun about my thread and descriptions. But when you read my opening post you will see that I wrote that the picture is NOT showing my car. I simply needed it to describe my problem and to show you where the parts are crashing together. I think it...

    Control arm hits the frame

Thank you for the fast answers! On the picture shown above the torsion bar is not installed --> this is not a picture of my car. I just took it from a another thread to show you what what my problem is. And I don't know the name of the part in the red circle. In my case the torsion bar is -...

    Control arm hits the frame

Hello everyone! I hope you can help me to fix a suspension problem. To give a better description of my problem I copied a photo from a another thread - hope thats okay. My problem is that a part of the control arm (see red circle) hits the frame and I don't know how to fix it. Do I have to...

Loss of oil after changing the filter

Thanks a lot to everyone! I'll try the things you mentioned above and keep you informed. It really seems to be a "simple" problem but it's driving me crazy. @Michael: Chiemgau (near Traunstein) Where about in Bavaria are you from?

Loss of oil after changing the filter

Thanks for your prompt reply! I forgot to mention that I replaced the new filter and cleaned the baseplate. Then I took a another filter (new one again) and fixed it - because I thought that the gasket of the filter was broken. The baseplate was clean.

Loss of oil after changing the filter

Hello there! I am driving a 73 Plymouth Duster. A few days ago my mate changed the oil filter while I was doing some other stuff. He also released the "baseplate" to change the seal behind. After cleaning the whole thing he fixed a new seal and torqued the baseplate. Then he put some oil on...
