Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

With everything going on I forgot all about the T-ram setup, it's only one more intake lol, I'm game if you are

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

Thank you and I really appreciate the offer but I think we are good with the heads we have for this test. What we really need is a trickflow intake, I ordered one quite a while ago and the date keeps getting pushed further out, I think it is estimated to be in July now!.

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

The first round of testing will be with ootb heads and intakes, the heads are speedmasters, edelbrock rpms and trickflows, there might be one more set of heads in the test as well. After the initial test the rpm heads will get a basic port job by @Newbomb Turk (since that was why they were there...

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

This is very close to what I am doing, 410 with 11.1 compression and an older hughes/engle sft with 257/266 @.050, .587/.602 lift on a 107 ls. So far for intakes we have an rpm, victor, m1, also 1 7/8 headers and an 830cfm blp carb.

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

Well I am very fortunate as we own the dyno so that part of it is covered (although still not free by any means lol). We will be testing several intakes as well but unfortunately as of this point the trickflow is still backordered and showing available in June?, so that may not be in the line up.

Some dyno testing you guys may want to follow on YouTube

I am building a stroker short block right now with the sole purpose of testing some speedmasters, edelbrock rpms and trickflow ootb heads on the dyno. While I agree it would be really interesting to see what some heads done by pbr would do the problem is they are not a widely available part to...

    Valve spring tester

I have a rimac spring tester and my buddy bought a proform digital spring tester so we decided to compare them. His tester fit in my rimac so we were able to instantly compare numbers throughout a range, we were both surprised that they were within a couple pounds of each other the whole way.

70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

I don't think he ever lost the fire to raise hell with a stick car but it was more of just getting fed up with the politics of racing. I think having a few buddies to race with at events helps.

70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

Actually it's had an 8.50 legal 8 point cage for two years now lol. With all that was going on with my wife's health I had no spare money or ambition to go racing but fortunately that has changed. I just don't want to throw it together again and instead actually get it the way I want it this...

70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

Kind of, but not for long lol, even if my car isn't at renegade I will be there. I guess worse case scenario you and I will have to wait until woodburn for our first mopar event and we all get to race our stuff. Tim told me he will have his car with mine in the stick class, it should be a hell...

70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

You guys are really making it hard for me lol. I have to build an engine and do a bunch of work to the car so I was shooting for the mopar nats in August to be the first event but dam I would really like to have the car for renegade.

If all else fails race it at renegade without the body panels and call it the "dart kart", I'm sure roadkill would approve!

    Strip Dominator and M1

We tested a victor against an m1 intake on a 408 with trickflow heads that was making 527hp. The victor had been mildly ported by the late Larry Smith (intake runner work/plenum blending) and the m1 was untouched. We were surprised they were within a few hp of each other with near identical...

    Strip Dominator and M1

I deleted the post after going back and looking at it, it was not relevant to this thread. I can say the sd and m1 are identical in power and the holley is the predecessor to the m1.

    Stacking aluminum lowering block?

If you do a google search you will see guys who run 7s/8s in the qtr. on leaf springs with steel lowering blocks, a couple had blocks as much as 4". Opinions are kind of like the whole wheel spacer thing and you will see those guys running them as well at those times. I used these LOWERING...

    TF & Speedmaster Flow Tests

I have an engine, a dyno, two out of the three sets of heads I want to test and two out of the three intakes so I am getting close.

    TF & Speedmaster Flow Tests

In this case I don't think track times are better than dyno results, too many variables. Take one engine, one dyno, two sets of heads and get the tune spot on is the most accurate comparison you can get.

70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

So is this thing going to be ready for renegade in June?, if it isn't then technically you forfeit the race and Bill can make you wear a dress!

    TF & Speedmaster Flow Tests

I don't dispute that the bloomer heads are top notch for a std. port head and make more power but I don't consider them to be in the same category as the trickflow. They have larger intake port than most ootb intakes can be ported to, are roughly 1K more than trickflows and add the fact that...

    Desk Top Dyno

I get it, I am actually pretty conservative and like to do more with less myself as my budget has made it necessary. I guess that is why I am so eager to test things that otherwise would not be tested, who is going to spend the money to buy parts and pay for dyno time all in the name of...

    Desk Top Dyno

In the next 90 days is the plan. The engine will be a typical 408 with a moderate solid flat tappet cam, 10.5 compression and several intakes as well including a victor, trickflow, rpm, and an m1.
  27. lead69

    Desk Top Dyno

I knew you would like that lol. He does have a flowbench and a dyno so there must be a reason he is using the 50 degree stuff now. It could be in limited applications but I don't know his reasoning, I hope to test this and many other things on the dyno. The first test coming up is trickflow vs...

    Desk Top Dyno

So using the the current comp 314R-10 and the head flow in post #100 I came up with 733hp. Just to add I use desktop dyno (the basic comp cams version) quite a bit for fun to predict what power it will make on the dyno and so far if I am conservative with the inputs the hp/tq peaks are pretty...
