l am rebuilding my 340. It is 20 over and has double eyebrow flat top Pistons. I am thinking of using dome Pistons 10.1. The heads are 587 that we are porting and changing to 202 intake valves. Running eldo performance intake and 750 dual feed Holley , headers 727 trans 391.0 rear gears.

My 73 340 has a set of 051 heads . What is the best way to get more out of them. For what it would cost to buy a set of x or j heads would I be better off to put the money in the 051s?

My speedometer cable is leaking where the plastic meets where it connects to the trans could it be bad or is it normal for fluid to be there.
