[WANTED] Original OEM mopar 833 reverse shifting rod wanted

hi... no i haven't found a reverse shift rod yet. the OEM rods are much bigger than the reproduction ones. OEM rods are about the thickness of a man's little finger and the reverse rod has a sharp bend in the middle - like 40 degrees. if you have a pic of any factory rods you might have...

    M code barracuda

i always wanted a M-Code Cuda and finally found one several years ago. it was a cut up 426 Hemi drag car in Boston ten years ago then it went to Bartlesville, Oklahoma to a mopar racing guy who put a 440 in it. i was able to buy it from him as a roller with no racing parts. i then had the...

    Happy Birthday Jim Harvard!

hey!! thank you for your kind words. i had a good day today - i installed a new Hurst Comp Plus shifter in my 68 Formula S along with an ORIGINAL "first generation" Hurst "Reverse Lock-out" with the round red ball. it takes me back to my 1970 street racing days.

I'm pretty sure Federal Regs for mandated headrests were not mandatory until the 1970 car model year. that is why for mopar, the "high-back" bucket seats were in everything. the higher back fulfilled the "headrest" safety regulation.

THANK YOU AAndrews for your pictures. yes, i was referring to the Formula S Rally dash. after i posted my comment to CudaDad on the restoration of his car by GYC's and what i felt was a "mistake" in the dash, i realized that the "basic" dash was the one in his car. i have looked through the...

    Cooling setup for a 68 cuda with a 440

hi cuda guy, all mopar V/8's came with either a 22" or a 26" radiator and corresponding shroud. all the air conditioner equipped cars had the 26" radiator. when it comes to keeping a mopar "cool" "bigger is always better" so your really need a 26" radiator for your 440. if you use an original...

Cuda Dad - i watched tonight's new GYC's episode (S15-Ep24) to see the assembly of your car. It does look absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! i did see something that just made me "cringe" because of the money and TIME you have spent on this car - and the detail really kind of made me "sick" for a moment...

hi dadsbee.... i can really relate to your story. i have 7 68-69 Barracudas and i started on one 68 when i returned from Iraq in 2006. it was my "therapy" due to PTSD. i invested around 2600 hours in that car and did it all myself. now i'm a bit older and don't have as much energy as i had...

Please share comments about Mopar restoration shops

i don't want a "trailer queen" restoration because those jobs are VERY expensive and then you're afraid to drive it afterward. i would like to find a shop that does "nice driver quality" work.
