I bought these for my and my son's 1965 Barracuda w/273 Commando V-8. We never got around to installing them and they are still in the original Layson's shipping box with receipt. Original price was $615 but I am letting them go for $250 plus shipping (let me know your location and I will...

It's black paint - if memory serves they did recommend either high-heat paint or some other coating for long term protection. These were hard to find because of the smaller engine compartment in the '65 Barracuda; regular headers that supposedly "fit" really don't and require that you cut out...

    Break-In. How Long?

I had my '65 273 professionally rebuilt at an engine shop, and they told me 1,000 miles before it's fully "broken in." I am sure you know this, but you also need to use something like Valvoline VR1 racing oil if you plan to run readily available premium unleaded. Love our '65!

    727 shift cable

Does anyone have a source from which I can purchase a new shift cable for my 1965 Barracuda 727 torqueflite? The cable housing on mine is split up several inches from the transmission...it's also leaking fluid which I assume means I need a new O-ring seal.

How long do I wait for parts paid for before becoming a dick! ADDED SELLERS NAME !!!

I was recently scammed to the tune of $200 - if I had read the warning posted in the FABO classified section by Admin I would have avoided. In my case the "seller" requested I use Moneygram as his PayPal account was inactive. Not sure if this is the same type of thing. We had a very pleasant...

"65 Barracuda Roll Call" just curious..how many of you have one?

See my avatar. Our 1965 Barracuda with 273 Commando is son's daily driver. We are keeping it original as much as possible but doing a few practical upgrades which to date have included aftermarket AC (we live in Florida!) and dual exhaust. We had the front end rebuilt, installed all new braking...

Longtime Mopar fan...new to A-Bodies Forum!

My adult son and I are having a blast with a recently acquired 65 Barracuda. It's in decent shape, runs and drives well for a 50 year old car, and we plan to keep it mostly original. Glad to join the forum and look forward to learning and sharing!
