1971 Demon 340 Window Molding Appearance

This is the molding that screws into the upper window frame below the drip rail on my 1971 Demon 340. I'm ready to put the new gasket on the molding and reinstall on the car. The moldings have a lot of dirt and grime and they need a good cleaning up first. My question is, do the moldings have a...

How Do You Install The Door Shell Weatherstrips On A 1971 Demon 340?

I am now ready to install the weatherstrips that go around the door shell on my 1971 Demon 340. I purchased a new OER weatherstrip package and they have the weirdest clips to put in the holes. How do they go in? Here is a picture of what I get to work with. As always, thank you in advance.

Thank you missing linc. You were right. But I got so used to waiting for so long, it actually felt weird once I got it back. Now it's time for me to start putting it back together. Have a good week ahead missing linc.

    It's Finally Home

I read your story and saw the pictures. And while I just didn't want to give up on mine, yours had a deeper story since it was your Dad's. And to have him go along with you to confirm it was his made it all the better.

    It's Finally Home

Thanks again Mtrhead. The only real modification it will have is I had Retro Radio out of Pennsylvania rebuild the radio to have Am and FM and added bluetooth. The face of the radio wasn't touched. But I will be changing a couple things. I will be adding the factory scooped hood with the hood...

    It's Finally Home

I drove it off and on through 1988. From then on it just sat at several body shops until the fourh one did quite a bit of work and it was the fifth one that got the paint and body work done in eight months. I always wanted a muscle car. I came across this one a fellow technician was going to fix...

    It's Finally Home

I bought the car in Columbus, Ohio in 1979. It's an automatic on the column, and has bench seats with the houndstooth cloth interior. Thanks Tom R.

    It's Finally Home

Thanks Darter6. I bought the 1976 Cordoba in 1977 and the Demon 340 in 1979. And that was the first time in thirty years since they were parked next to each other. This picture was taken in 1979.

    It's Finally Home

I bought it in February of 1979. Starting in 1990, it sat at three different body shops, the fourth one installed the quarters, straightened the right front frame rail, he heater a/c box, the fuel tank and lines, the wiper system and the brakes. He did that work in five years and then didn't...

    It's Finally Home

It's a numbers matching factory a/c car so it will be built stock. The only modifications will be the factory chrome round head mirrors only because you can't see out the factory race mirrors. It did not come with a scooped hood option and I'm adding that with hood pins. Thanks coloradohill

    Defroster Hose Removal

I worked in Chrysler Dealer Parts Departments off and on since the 1970's. And I'll admit, I'm not very mechanically inclined. But I do know where things go. I need to know how to get the defroster hoses unhooked from the dash vents on my 1971 Demon 340. They're clipped on a certain way and I...

    Air Cleaner Paint

I double checked the finish on the air cleaner again. And it looks like it's the satin finish they used on the dashboard. Thanks 413.

    Air Cleaner Paint

I'm not sure if I'm in the correct thread. I need To get my factory air cleaner painted on my 1971 Demon 340. I'm currently painting the dashboard and noticed the paint may be the same or at least similar on both. The paint for the dashboard is Satin Black. Is it the same for the air cleaner...

    Bolt And Nut Reference Guide

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, my 1971 Demon 340 has been in a body shop getting restored for the past seven years. The gentleman working on it passed away last month. He has parts scattered everywhere in his shop. Once I get the car painted, I will have to be the one to...
