I have heard of many using them on 340/360's. The original shafts were junk. I had these 273's in a box in great shape so I used them. My engine builder buddy did have to order special pushrods for it. I have a lot of oil in the shaft and top end for what its worth.

Sorry. To clear it up. .055” gap, 1” free, .250” TO bearing clearance. In order to drive it without the levers absolutely cramming the clutch pedal I had to run 2.5” of freeplay. Sorry. That much free play is obnoxious to drive but that’s what I had to run to diagnose this. Somethings broken or...

It’s a brand new engine. Bearings are tight. I’ll know sooner.

Just goop it up with assembly lube and 20 min at 2000+ and go with it huh. Treat it like a new cam right.

Solid lifters isn’t going to stop the annoying tick!

I’m not sure. We will know when we pull it. They are very good communicating. No issues with them at all.
