    new lazy lifter....

I used Brad Penn break in oil. Dumped then switched to their 30 weight. That’s what’s in it now.

    new lazy lifter....

Just stop. You started out by saying to use a different style lifter and calling me an idiot. Do not ever post a reply on any of my threads. I bet you are just a lot of fun to be around in the shop. Just leave me alone. Leave my thread alone. Respectfully, just stop.

They are US made lifters. You clearly read the replies and not the original post.

    new lazy lifter....

so you can’t answer my original question either. Or throw some relevant information. I don’t want to use solid lifters. It’s simple. I had no idea the members of FABO are so sensitive to hyd vs solids. Good grief.

    new lazy lifter....

So let me get this straight.... I asked a question about hydraulic lifters in a Mopar friendly forum. Another member replies in a way that isn’t constructive or intelligent at all. I reply back the reason I went with a particular style of lifter. The other member calls me an idiot. You are a...

    new lazy lifter....

Why in the hell would I want to listen to noisy lifters in a very mild engine? And have to adjust them every 8 miles. Solid lifters have their place... and that’s not in my weekend cruisers. To each their own but that’s dumb and going backwards to do that. I don’t want the hassle of solids for a...

    new lazy lifter....

I have heard of many using them on 340/360's. The original shafts were junk. I had these 273's in a box in great shape so I used them. My engine builder buddy did have to order special pushrods for it. I have a lot of oil in the shaft and top end for what its worth.

    new lazy lifter....

I built a mild 360 hydraulic cam 273 adjustable rockers. I used Johnson US made lifters. Since new (600 miles) I get a pretty good tap tap tap. It will almost go completely silent after 3-4 minutes. I have tried all preload settings. It's just a lazy lifter. I pulled the lifter and took it...

    Rebuild sure grip popping??

I did the additive and I’m dizzy from circles. I tried all the obvious before pulling it back apart.

    Rebuild sure grip popping??

I dug out a nice 3.23 disc type chunk to put in my 4 speed duster build this winter. Not knowing anything about the unit I rebuilt it. I bought the rebuild kit from Dr diff. Assembled it per the instructions etc. it doesn’t always do it but every 3rd time I make a tight turn it’ll pop. Like...

    Recommendations for Carlisle

I can’t make the show this year. My dad wants to go with friends. Trying to book him a room. Is Mechanicsburg safe and ok? Probably a motel 6 at this point. Most of the good stuff is 1 billion bucks or far away. North and South Hershey are also available. I just don’t know the area well enough...

Is this normal ? Sound from clutch pedal

I’m curious to send it to RAM and see what they find. Everybody telling me more freeplay etc. I found that you need around 3” of freeplay in order for it not to hit the fork and bearing. But you have to start it in gear. What a stupid deal this became. I have all correct parts etc... finally the...

Is this normal ? Sound from clutch pedal

I have a lot going on Racing right now. It’s waiting for a rainy day to pull this clutch and throw it in the lake.

Is this normal ? Sound from clutch pedal

Sorry. To clear it up. .055” gap, 1” free, .250” TO bearing clearance. In order to drive it without the levers absolutely cramming the clutch pedal I had to run 2.5” of freeplay. Sorry. That much free play is obnoxious to drive but that’s what I had to run to diagnose this. Somethings broken or...

I believe you. I’m gonna pull the mess out next week. I just wanted to share the video. As for the bearing clearance I stacked feeler gauges and posted it above in my reply. Stranger things have happened.

I posted in my thread but this thread was going as well. I’ll post on the other thread too but I got the car on the lift today. Changed the trans fluid and left the bell a little messy. Sorry. Anyway. I have .055” air gap, 2.5” pedal play and .260” of throw out bearing clearance. Video is in...

I have .055” air gap, 1” pedal play and .260” of throw out bearing clearance. To drive it you need 2.5” of free play to keep it from totally killing the...
