    Commuter Car

It's the SE model with the 2.5 liter four cylinder. You put that behind a six speed transmission and this commuter car moves very well. I am pleasantly surprised with the layout of the interior and the ergonomics in this machine. I think this car is going to last us a very long time.

    Speedometer Replacement/Cable/Horrible Day

Well the good news is it turned out to be a speedo cable issue. The cable I ordered off of e-bay was way too long and I guess any kink in the cable just wreaks havoc on the whole system. The bad news is with the original speedo cable my speedometer is off by about five mph. It's not a big...

    Speedometer Replacement/Cable/Horrible Day

Well gentlemen I installed a new cable and a speedometer from a donor car I thought was functioning okay. All that time and the speedo is twenty miles per hour too fast and bounces violently at low speeds. Do you guys know of a good speedometer rebuilder?

    A body Rat rod

I don't know guys but "Rat Rodding" a Dodge Demon just doesn't seem right to me for some reason. It's hard enough finding good A-Bodies these days let alone purposely finding one and making look as shabby as possible is beyond me.

    Lockup 904 vs. Non-Lock Up 904

How can you tell the difference? It's funny because though I have been in the car game for a long time this is one aspect of the hobby I have missed. Would my 74 Dodge Dart have a lockup trans?

    Custom Gauges

You know guys while I have my cluster out a thought occurred to me. How hard would it be to fabricate a gauge plate that would accept aftermarket gauges in my Dart? How would the aftermarket gauges function differently then the stock setup? How have you guys done your custom gauges?

    Speedometer Replacement/Cable/Horrible Day

Thanks for the tips and input guys. I got my cluster out and am working on putting the functioning cluster from the donor Valiant. You know this got me thinking though. How hard would it be to totally go with a custom gauge setup? You know something so I could put all VDO type gauges instead...

    Speedometer Replacement/Cable/Horrible Day

Is it true that in order to remove the dash cluster the whole steering column has to be dropped? If so what kind of design is that? I ask because check this out guys. My speedometer has been slowly going out and finally would never rest on zero. So I swapped in a genuine Mopar speedo cable...

    Overdrive Options

Well that's what I've been weighing out in my mind. This is pretty much going to be my daily driver for the next two years and as stated earlier, I do a forty mile round trip commute three times a week. I think an overdrive/gear splitter would really make this old machine a legitimate and...
