thanks for all the replies!!! I hooked jumpers up and got power to the ignition (dash lights illuminated, oil lamp, etc...). I then tried to fire it up, heard the starter catch, then everything shut down. Dash lamps went out, no power to the ignition, nothing.

Just picked up a 71 swinger. Turned it over once then the ignition went dark. Blown fuse? Blown harness? It had been sitting over a year...Help!
