I have a '70 Duster 340 with rallye dash but tach is not working. I think the car was converted to electronic ignition at some point, and wonder if that is the reason the tach won't function? Previous owner installed tach under dash in front of shift lever. He must have done that for a reason.

What's the trick to keep those spring clips from popping out? Just installed it today, and some of them stay while other pop out. Have you used another fastener such as this to hold it in place? I prefer using original type clips if possible. Yes, I'm the same guy that had the dipstick thread :D

I recently bought my 1970 Duster, and from what I've seen online, it calls for a 195 degree thermostat. That seems really high, especially here in FL. Do you guys go with the OE recommendation of 195 or drop to 180?? Are there any benefits to installing one or the other? Thanks.
