    1975 Duster 360 production numbers?

Yes, the 1975 stripe is quite a bit different. But I think the 74 stripe is cooler.

cdsilks - I would love to see more pictures of your sunroof cars for the Mopar Sunroof Registry! Plymouth67 - if you have more pictures of your friend's sunroof car, please share! Thanks in advance, Scott.

    1975 Duster 360 production numbers?

Unfortunately, Chrysler did not track very many combinations of options. The best you can hope for is engine/trans combo numbers, and in this case, VS29/sunroof combo numbers. An internal Chrysler Options & Accessories report would tell us that, but you would have to hope that a copy made it...

1973 Duster & Dart Sport 340 SUNROOF cars

Hey Rex, I don't think MY340 is participating in this forum anymore. I think he sold his 340 sunroof car and has moved along. Sounds like you have a pretty cool one yourself with the 4-speed and great color. Sunroof parts are tough to come by, but they are out there. Best thing to do is a parts...

1973 Duster & Dart Sport 340 SUNROOF cars

Very cool car Lonnie! The R in the vehicle order number (R52429) along with the Y28 (I assume you found a buildsheet) means that this was a Public Relations car. So it was ordered up to do some sort of duty before it was sent off to a dealership for eventual sale. These public relation duties...

The B-body manual sunroofs are a different size than the A-body manual sunroofs. Scott.

Nothing will hit harder than life... first love is coming back home

Very cool car! Would love to hear more about it - did you restore it yourself? Original color? Any cool options? I am familiar with the Gold Duster package (A64) - was the Silver Duster a package with features also? Thanks!!

1973 Duster & Dart Sport 340 SUNROOF cars

Thanks Mike. Yeah, I saw that he has not been on here in a while. I think I read in one of his posts somewhere that he ended up selling his car, and therefore he likely has lost interest in maintaining the 340 sunroof A-body registry that he took care of. I wish I could contact him to see if he...

1973 Duster & Dart Sport 340 SUNROOF cars

I am not sure if My340 is still doing this. I have started a Mopar Sunroof Registry at www.moparsunroofregistry.com if you would like to participate.

How many fender tags normally? 71 Demon Newbie....

Oldmanmopar - that appears to be a legit 2-tagger. CTD on the upper right of the first tag and EN1 is the same as END on the second tag. Both tags also have the same VIN at the bottom. That was probably one of the highest optioned 1971 Demons that they ever built. The little tag with 2F on it...

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Yep, those look like the Duster and Demon seals. Thanks!

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

One more option for seals - I have a couple of contacts that have actively hoarded sunroof parts. You can try either of these guys to see if they have seals or anything else you are after sunroof wise. Dave Hemenway in Colorado: 303-770-5579 or Jake Kelly in Michigan: 810-265-0675

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Thanks Fred - yes I would like to verify that the Scamp weather seals are the same as the Duster and Demons. Just pictures will be fine for now. Hang on to your seals as at some point someone will need a sample for reproducing new ones.

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Yellow Rose - the most common problem with the manual sunroofs is the rectangular block that the gear is housed in. The cables are made of a harder metal than the block is. Therefore, the blocks develop grooves that allow the cables to separate from the gear just enough to start slipping. The...

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Thanks Fred. As far as I know, no one is reproducing the seals for A bodies yet. I have a borrowed set that I have got measurements off of, but I have to return them. I have toyed with the thought of having them reproduced, but I need to find my own set to send off, and I would need enough...

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Absolutely - I document the ones that have gone to the great scrap yard in the sky also. VIN and the best description of body/top/interior colors and any options that you noticed. Location of death also, lol. Here or through the website email is fine - [email protected] Thanks! Scott.

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Only one official factory sunroof option for 1971 and 1972 - the soft top. I think some of the Demon GSS cars that Mr. Norm modified had a sliding metal roof like the 1973 through 1976 A Bodies. I need to dig into those cars further. Scott.

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Since there was no convertible production for A-bodies in 1971 and 1972, Chrysler used V3X and V3W where the top body color or vinyl top code goes on the tag. (Third row from the bottom, 1st code) Black and White were the only color options for the fold back sunroof. Additionally, the Vehicle...

    1972 sunroof Demon cars

Just finished up putting together all the 1972 sunroof Demons that I have run across for the Mopar Sunroof Registry website. Six 340s and six base Demons. I also have been able to get a good estimate on production for those that have been wondering - around 100 340s, and around 250 base Demons...

In search of member Rockin Randy from Fulton, NY area. Joined and only had 4 posts back in 2012. He has/had 3 sunroof Demons, two blue and one gold. Anyone know Randy? The sunroof guy would love to talk to him about his sunroof cars. Scott Rudge/Mopar Sunroof Registry website. Thanks for any help!

1973 Duster & Dart Sport 340 SUNROOF cars

That is awesome. It is those darn cable guides that get worn down enough it allows the cables to separate from the gear just far enough that the gear starts to slip. Kudos for your efforts!

1973 Duster & Dart Sport 340 SUNROOF cars

Sounds like a great car three40! I don't know if My340 is still visiting this site or tracking these cars - but I have the Mopar Sunroof Registry that does. Just Google it and check it out some time - and consider sending your info my direction. Thanks! Scott.

Can't bring myself to part this rare 340 car out

I would love to see some pictures too - for the sunroof registry. 1971-1972 A-bodies had the canvas slide back roof, but but for 1973 and on - a manual steel sunroof panel was installed. Someone help me out here - "Spaceduster" was used for Plymouth models, and "Convertriple" was used for Dodge...

    Hey from NY

The tubes are supposed to run all the way down so that the bottom of the tube is spitting water out at the rocker panel just behind the fender/door seam. The rear tubes are supposed to run all the way down to the rocker panel just in front of the rear wheel well. I would try and run your wire...

    Hey from NY

Welcome to FABO. There are four drain tubes - the front two run down the A pillars and end behind the kick panels. The rear two run down the C pillars and end near the front of the wheel wells. In the early power sunroof cars, ASC employees would crudely punch a hole in the wheel wells for the...
