    [Found!] FMJ Body Steering Knuckles

I’m looking for a set of FMJ body steering knuckles the ones that don’t have a ball joint built in. I have the spindles but not the correct knuckles to work on my 59 Plymouth that I’m converting the brakes on. I know most of you guys take these off and use the other type so hoping someone might...

What's needed to fit a 440 Six Pack under stock hood

When I was originally building the 440 for my Scamp I wanted to go with a six-pack but skipped it thinking it that it was not able to fit under the stock hood without a scoop, but recently saw this photo of a dart that has it with no scoop. Has anyone else done this? If so is that part of the...

    Need help with Panel Beating

Ok, first off I'm new to doing metalwork, and after getting the car back from the sandblasters the roof had a very bad oil canning, I was able to shrink the area with the torch/hammer and dolly, but now the surface has some high and low spots and before I proceed I was wanting to get some...

    Filler Question

when it hot like that you really have to work fast I usually get 3-5 min working time depending on the amount I'm using. And as long as you get it thoroughly mixed and a uniform color to it you shouldn't ever have to worry about it not cureing

Primer Sealer and Red Oxide question

Thanks for the feedback, Think what I'll do is get some tint for my urethane primer and do a little test panel half and half one with the red oxide and one without to see how the final shade is. Right now the whole car is primed in a single color so I won't have the problem of matching panels.

    AMD quarter panel question

Yeah, it really sucks that they stopped making them, took me a month to just find that one, I got the very last one from Year One.

    Filler Question

I forgot to ask, what temperature are you using it in? That has a huge effect on how fast it flashes for me. Personally, for a 3in blob, I only go halfway with the hardener but spend a little extra time making sure it's really mixed well by folding it.

    Filler Question

How much hardener are you using, say for a golf ball size blob? I have been using Evercoat Rage Gold and Evercoat Metal Glaze as a toper both are amazing but pricey products.

    AMD quarter panel question

Used an AMD panel on my scamp, It fit like a glove and it wasn't too hard to get the old one-off, also did the factory sound deadening before putting it on

Primer Sealer and Red Oxide question

I'm getting close to the stage of laying base on the car (GA4) and have a couple of questions. Currently, the car is in PPG Urethane high build and is going to be block/wet sanded to around 700 grit, I have been debating if I should use a sealer over this or just skip the hassle and spray base...

    Fender Badging Decision, Opinions Wanted

Ok, so I'm in the middle of doing the bodywork on my Scamp project here 72 Scamp 440 Build and have come to the point of working on the passenger fender. I found that the fender was originally from a 70 Valiant and I have the badges that would have gone on the fender, I wanted to see what people...

    72 Scamp 440 Build

After the quarter was installed and a lot of work trying to remove multiple layers of old paint I finally decided to just have the car sandblasted, this was done with Dustless Blasting and it came out very nice for only $800. The most annoying part I the amount of sand in every nook and cranny...

    72 Scamp 440 Build

The car is now fully stiped and ready for bodywork. I ended up deciding I would much rather just remove the old paint to make 100% that there would be no contamination or problems, then that exposed a large problem... both the passenger and driver quarters that I had thought were straight turned...

    Standard To Rallye Dash

That is one of the big downsides to the Rallye dash is that the radio and heater/AC controls have to be disconnected to allow for removal, since I removed the heater core from my car I don't have to worry about it but if you do have one it would make working on it a *****.

    Standard To Rallye Dash

Yeah I wanted to keep the flat gauge look but it was just too splotchy, the tire shine made it look much more uniform. On the new bezel it is very good along the pad but the two original bezels I have are also just as straight, the warpage that I experienced was around where it's supposed to go...

    Standard To Rallye Dash

The other thing you have to change is if you have the wood grain covers is that you need to have the non-woodgrain glove box door, luckily I found one for cheap. I could not find just the plastic bezel piece for it. This is the bezel all put together While the dash is apart I saw somewhere...

    Standard To Rallye Dash

Well, because of the project car effect and how it never ends, the perfectly fine standard dash I had just screamed to be upgraded, so this post is on how I went about converting a standard dash to Rallye and what to watch out for. First I did not use an original bezel but a Repop from Classic...
