Putting the steering column back in the car and I’ve got two ground straps I think going on the steering column at the mounting bracket , but I’m not sure exactly how they hook up and where they go. Need some electrical help I’m clueless

Little bit of background, pulled the steering column in one piece to replace the coupler. Now all that’s done and it’s put back in no problems. I was checking all the instrumentation and headlights and turn signals, and everything works correctly except the turn signals. The left side will blink...

An old friend sent me a gift

Way back in the day when I was with LEO. And he was my lieutenant. He’s started a small business making crafts with his laser engraver. This is the kind of stuff he does, but also smaller pieces and shadowboxes. If you’re interested in anything like this for yourself as a gift for a friend, let...

    Help in installing steering coupling.

Well, I progressed to the point where I’m trying to install my steering column back in the car. I have rebuilt the coupler with new shoes and retaining clip, packed it with grease and am trying to figure out how the coupler splines are aligned. I’ve got the service manual, but it doesn’t give a...

    Torsion bar installation question

Am having a problem with the right side torsion bar lining up in the front pocket. I’ve tried raising and lowering the right side suspension but still can’t get it quite lined up. Any suggestions? I’ve heard people talk about indexing the pocket, but I’m not sure exactly, what that entails thanks

    Steering coupler question

My service manual doesn’t show this very clearly at least for my slow brain. On the steering shaft from the car to the power steering box, is the picture attached showing the disconnect coupling? And is it held together by a roll pin?(hole left side.) Is this coupler bushing available anywhere...

    The atheist

    · An atheist was seated next to a dusty old cowboy on an airplane and he turned to him and said, "Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger." The old cowboy, who had just started to read his book, replied to the total stranger, "What would...

    904 inspection cover

On the 904 Bell housing inspection dust cover, does it have to be a one piece that goes in behind the starter or is there a two piece you can install it and leave the starter in place? If it’s only a one piece cover, can it be modified to be taken on and off without removing the starter?

    T-bar query

I’m working on my 68 dart and have done some suspension changes and have pulled torsion bars out. I was wondering if someone can identify the size they are and I am having a problem reinstalling. It just won’t seem to line up to the clock position to be able to get the front of the bar to slide...

    Curious about my old car

Back in 1974 I purchased a 1970 340 Duster. It was A4 silver poly with the black vinyl top black interior with bucket seats and shift console and no 340 call out anywhere on the exterior of the car. I drove that car for about seven years when I finally had to trade it in for a new Chevy S-10...
