    Powerglide

The Jegs part number for the 6 clutch piston is 206-COA-12826, thats for 6 stock thickness .100" clutches, I always liked sticking with the .100" clutches, they are more robust than the thin ones. Also you have to have a steel clutch hub for high gear if that's not assumed already.

    Powerglide

I have been running a glide at that level for about 18 years now. I use the 6 clutch upgrade in the stock drum (it holds up great), you need a good preferably 300M input, and turbo spline (if not it will break), and a good planetary, stock 1.76 can hold up for a long time but most of the time a...

    Glide question

Hughes should be able to tell you if your converter has the bushing.

    Glide question

Maybe I shouldn't have put it that way, (response to "UNLESS you purchase an outrageously expensive converter that has a support bushing build into its casing"), my point is I have never had a converter that didn't have the bushing, therefore usually you won't need the stator tube bushing, but...

    Glide question

Just reading your thread, and had one comment, being a racer, I don't normally purchase "low end" converters but I have never had a race converter that didn't have the bushing between the drive cover and the turbine, which locates the front of the input shaft and negates the necessity of the...

What to look for in a bolt in sprag?

Ok, here's some opinions, take em or leave em. I don't like low band apply valve bodies due to shift timing difficulties. I wouldn't really want to race a 727 without a billet steel front drum. I would never use a carbon fiber shield, I would use a blanket. A 12 element bolt in is a step in...

How was your season, and what's planned for the winter?

Had a good season. 1 regular race win, S/P race of champs win, King of Track win (Wally), 1 quick 8 win, 3 runner-ups, 3 semi's, and a couple of good rainout splits. Ended up in the black on spending for the year by about $400. Had a lot of fun ! The only casualtys were a MSD 2-step module...

    fenderwell headers

M347, AlterKtion, coil over no torsion bars. I can remove the driver side header in about half an hour, less if I thrash on it. The passenger side is in when the motor goes in and comes out only after lifting the motor but it doesn't need to come out for anything so it works well for me.

    fenderwell headers

Well, I have an aftermarket Kmember and a removable steering column so its not bad for me, but if you have a stock front end and column, that does look like a bear to get too. Additionally, my application being a race only car I would not have good input on that for a street application, but my...
