    73' 340/904 duster racestoration

As far as working over your 360 is concerned, yes the heads would be a good place to start - magnums are nice, but keep in mind that they limit your intake options should you be planning to do this with swapmeet/ebay parts, and the factory intake you show in your pictures certainly won't work...

    73' 340/904 duster racestoration

Nothing wrong with a mid/late 70s 360 - matter of fact with some basic head work and other mods it's probably cheaper/easier to build power from it than a 340 due to the lack of the "halo" effect that still surrounds 340s and their parts.

    Canadian '71 / '72 340 Swinger Specials

Used to be one or two of the '71 cars that came frome from Crestview Chrysler in Regina Sk living in Southey Sk. I believe they may have moved on to new owners now. http://www3.sympatico.ca/f.bevil/71Swinger340.html

Duster 1970-1972 and 1973+ Door Difference?

Interior top & bottom of the 70 - 72 doors were metal and part of the door structure - with the fibreboard/vinyl panel in between. The '73 up variety used a plastic top section and the board/vinyl part went right to the bottom of the door. (Much larger than the earlier version.) The interior...

    Tight Tubes

Well - one would assume they are a streetrod type of product, but they show as an A-body application on Hedman's website. A bit misleading IMO. The biggest mistake I made was spending the extra cake on the ceramic-coated version. The exhaust installer felt they could be made to fit better...

    Tight Tubes

They do not fit well as they dump directly over the steering linkage with only a couple inches clearance, causing some extreme bends in the collector, making the damn things so restrictive I should have just left the 318 manifolds on. On top of that the exhaust shop had to severly ding the pipe...

Torque converter/flexplate on cast crank 340

I know almost nothing about automatics, and I can't seem to find this information anywhere. Are all A904 Torque converters equipped with the 10" boltpattern? or do they vary? I have a cast-crank 340 that I am putting a stock A904 trans behind as a temporary measure. The engine is externally...

    damn neighbors

Try this: Sit on your front step, in plain view of all your neighbours, sharpening all the knives in your home. On the next evening, do it again, except be cleaning & polishing your gun. (Borrow a friend's rifle if you don't have any of your own.) Offer free parking on your lawn to some of...

I'm hiding from my wife.... I forgot valentines & now she's on the hunt for me.....#-o Seriously tho...I think it's cool to see where someone's from when they post on a message board. As far as for sale ads are concerned, I have all but given up trying to buy or sell stuff on the web...

Advice on radio delete plate for 72 Demon

Oh - and the heater controls do vary from year to year and style of dash. If you are not fussy about correctness, they are pretty easy to find, even these days.

Advice on radio delete plate for 72 Demon

I have the small delete plate that covers only the radio area in my car. You will have to drill a bunch of holes to mount that big panel if your car does not already have a similar one in place. (If it is bare painted metal like mine.)

I would only be concerned about excessive moisture & salt "getting between" if I was winter driving the car. A weekend summer playtoy should be no problem.

    Demon Hood

Thanks. Is yours one piece, or two? The originals were two pieces where the base of the scoop screwed onto the top. The one I have came from my Dart Sport & the base of it is contoured for that hood. I am trying to determine if there is anywhere I can purchase just the flat bottom piece for...

    Sway Bar

Actually, 67 through 72 is a different setup than the much improved 73 through 76 setup. Different K frame control arms, sway bars motor mounts, etc. I am very familiar with the "newer" front end, but it's been a long time since I have seen the 72 & down. This is why I asked to see some...

whats the odds of this happening ?

Ouch! Major Turkey damage... We did that kind of damage to our minivan hitting a duck. Antenna cut it open then it busted up the winsheild & left a permanent ding in the passenger side A-pillar... I think wifey peed herself when it hit. :iconbigg:
